Art Stream: Humanoid Turing Test is Complete! · 11:44pm Dec 17th, 2016
Hey everyone! Well, the art stream with Greenfinger has come and gone. Thanks to everyone who showed up! If you missed it and have a good chunk of time, you can watch the recorded art stream video before seeing the picture or watch it embedded at the bottom of this post. But the important thing is, yes, finally, we have a picture of Turing Test as an android! Er, gynoid! Well, humanoid of some kind. Check it out after the break!

Okay, so what's going on in this pic, you might ask? First of all, why does she look less robotic as a human than as a pony? Well, it came about from Green and I discussing one of our main problems with anthro or humanized art: all too often, it just looks like a pony head on a human body. And when Green initially sketched out this picture, it had that effect. Thus, he went in a different direction that was more in his own art style and made her more expressive.
Other things to notice, though:
*She's singing as a reference to the fact that Turing discovered a love of music in the chapter with Octavia and Vinyl Scratch.
*Green and I both felt that her t-shirt needed something on it, and Spacemarine64 (whoever you are on here) brilliantly suggested a toaster, referencing her ignominious transformation into one in the April Fool's Day chapter "Human After All." Great suggestion!
*Rather than have her amethyst brooches embedded directly into arms, Green remade them as bracelets.
*About the only strong direction I gave Green was the shape of her eyes: You'll notice that they aren't perfectly round, as I suggested he make them look blockier, like a number on a digital clock.
Overall, though, she's still her robotic self, and I think it's pretty darn cute.

4344133 Well, to add to Green's answer, he doesn't do animation yet, but he's hoping to learn. As for doing things for free, he sometimes takes suggestions for illustrations to do on art stream if he doesn't have an idea in mind, but if you're deliberately asking for something specific, then that would be a commission. I do pay him for illustrations, but humanoid Gadget and Turing were both things he decided to do because he thought it might be fun and because it might bring more attention to his art streams.
But drop him a note on DA if you have something you want to ask him to draw. (No porn, though. He doesn't do that.
)
This is great and cute! This was a good humanization (or it would be "androidization"?
) of Turing, and she would fit CHS very well! 
Nice detail with the mouth in her "human" form - after all, we are building robots like that:
