Review #17 - Let's Play a Game, Trixie And Her Amazing Pet Changeling · 11:53pm Dec 15th, 2016

So today I have two stories, they are:

Let's Play a Game by Calming Moon
Trixie And Her Amazing Pet Changeling by Georg

Let's Play a Game by Calming Moon
(Comedy, Random)
Discord decided to have a little fun, but when his game doesn't quite go as planned, will he get the last laugh? This is before Twilight becomes a princess, but after Discord is reformed.

Review
Discord decides to have a little fun, so he kidnaps the Main 6, Celestia, Luna, Cadance, and Shining Armor to have them play a game where they have to find him while starting from different parts of Canterlot.

This story has great pacing in it, which helps it out a lot. Unfortunately, there are a couple errors in the text, along with quite a bit of missing punctuation. But it does seem planned out. The tags also fit well enough to be acceptable.

Score: 5/10 Recommendation: Not Recommended/ Worth Reading

Personal Thoughts: This story is somewhere between Not Recommended, and Worth Reading... so that is why it has two ratings.

Trixie And Her Amazing Pet Changeling by Georg
(Comedy, Slice of Life)
Lost, starving, and hunted by the law, a lonely changeling finds a traveling entertainer who he plans on using to restore his energy by extracting as much love out of her as possible. Too bad his target turns out to be Trixie. After a brief violent encounter and some mutual blackmail, the two of them decide to perform together in front of the town to raise enough bits and love for them each to go their separate ways. It works out better than they expected.

Review
A Changeling meets Trixie on the road and attempts to steal her love, but she does nothing. In order for Trixie to perform, she needs bits... which the Changeling just happens to have, so they pretend that the Changeling is part of Trixie's act. After they leave the town, they head off to the Crystal Empire, and things don't seem to go well there.

This story has fairly good pacing, especially considering the variants in the chapter size. It has very few errors in the text, which is nice. It also feels rather planned out, with just about the right amount of randomness. Oh, and the tags fit well.

Score: 8.5/10 Recommendation: Recommended.

Personal Thoughts: WARNING, contains many dirty jokes within it. If you are not comfortable with such things, do not read it. Consider yourself warned.

I so wanted to use my first description on Trixie and her Amazing Pet Changeling

A short six-chapter fic about a terrible monster who pretends to be something it isn't while traveling Equestria and deceiving entire towns full of ponies.

But enough about Trixie.
