Despite my loyal membership of the group for the last year and 3/4s, the new rules that have been passed are to far from my own opinions for me to support. The required crossovers with other fics rule has basically killed the stories that were my only interest in the group, and so I find myself departing. All the crossovers did, more often then not, was force a point into a fic that often was out of the blue. On top of this, it also was often horribly played into a fic, used oftentimes as a Deus Ex solution for a conflict in the plot. While I hear the arguments for originality, and it being the signature of the group, all that tells me is that I should bail faster. Originality is great, but it is no substitution for quality. And while I held hopes for change, well, look for yourself.
The thread was locked soon afterwards, with MidnightChoas stating the rules were not up for debate, and the thread was causing pointless arguments. As most of the responses on the threads about these rules have been negative, one has to wonder how pointless they are.
And so, due to disagreements with the Administration and the new rules, I submit my resignation, and delete my draft for my own Displaced fic.
