Fotomat Video "Stop Copy" Demonstration · 4:26am Dec 11th, 2016
The tapes rented out by Fotomat from 1979-82 were known for having weak video signals, often causing VCR's to lose grip on the picture. This was the studios' apparent attempt at discouraging folks from copying tapes (which were made specifically for Fotomat), 'cause, you know, everybody had two VCR's at their disposal in 1979.
For the curious, the film used in this demo is "Shane" (1952).
