In memory of the 2,000 something Americans who perished 75 years ago. · 6:00pm Dec 7th, 2016
Three quarters of a century ago, the neutral United States of America was thrust into the world's most devastating war, World War II, and it all started at a little naval base in O'ahu, Hawaii: Pearl Harbor.
Early in the morning hours of December 7th, 1941, the Empire of Japan launched a dastardly attack on the American fleet stationed at Pearl Harbor, where 2,000+ Americans would perish, and with them, isolationism and neutrality. The attack would remain the deadliest on American soil until September 11, 2001.
Let us never forget those who died in the attack, and especially the hundreds of thousands more who would later die in the war to come. God bless America.
*wants to put memoir picture here but can't on an iPhone, will maybe do it later*
*also forgot to mention his native country's (Albania's) National Day on November 28, when it declared independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1912*
