He's not perfect but he's no where close to being a bad character and before you make the whole 'he's an emo asshole' argument let me remind you that his reaction to EVERYTHING was plotted by Itachi and then got out of control cause Obito got wise. At the age of 9 Sasuke witnessed his brother murder his entire family through a super real genjustu(and then had nightmares about it on repeat for years) and was driven to become strong enough to kill him at all costs.

Then after gaining that power he got what he wanted only to find out everything he knew or thought he knew about Itachi was a lie and wanted revenge on the village that he felt wronged his big brother and really he wasn't wrong in wanting revenge cause mainly the entire thing was Danzo's fault and Sasuke killed the shit out of him.

Then after finding out the full truth about Itachi Sasuke wanted to become Hokage and change things his own way and then finally came around to seeing things the right way after fighting Naruto for an entire day and losing a damn arm AND THEN SPENT AN ENTIRE YEAR IN PRISON CHAINED UP AND BLIND.

Then eventually started a family and is a loving and protecting father and is now the master to Naruto's son and is one of the strongest ninja in the world next to Naruto. Now is that to say he doesn't have flaws? No...Sasuke is super emotional and makes very rash and harsh choices based on his emotions but then again that's a trait ALL the Uchiha have even Madara.

If you wanna talk about shitty characters in Naruto talk about Ten-Ten or Ino but leave Sasuke or any of Team 7 out of it...and yeah that includes Sakura cause I will say this and leave it alone...SHE'S NOT USELESS

4331800 No one...NOT ONE in the entire leaf village had a backstory as sad as Naruto and Sasuke...NO ONE...the only characters that come close are Itachi, Shisui, Minato, Kushina, Jiraya and the like. But none of the other kohana 11...none of them experienced pain and sorrow like the two of them...only one that comes remotely close is Hinata and Neji and Rock Lee.

Sasuke became hateful toward everyone in the village after he found out what really happened to Itachi, at that moment he was acting purely on hate and emotion as ALL UCHIHA DO(prime example Madara) and Obito twisted him but then when Sasuke caught up with Edo Itachi and Itachi talked a little sense into him and then after having a chat with the edo hokage he was like..."okay i don't want to destroy the village anymore...i still need to kill naruto, i'll kill the current five kage and rule the world as the one Kage"

He showed no empathy to them because none of them could relate to him and often shunned him...Shikamaru flat out said he never liked Sasuke very much and Ino only ever chased his dick cause he was cute, Choji is indifferent to sasuke, Lee just wants to fight him, and Sakura genuinely loves him but because he always tends to have love taken from him(his family) he pushes her away until there very end after naruto makes him understand.

As for his powers...thats just how the Sharingan works...Seriously the only power up that was 'given' to sasuke post time skip was the Rinnegan and i'll explain why. Post fight with Itachi he got the curse mark from Orochimaru but spent three years training to master it and perfect his skills so he could fight itachi. He fought Itachi and won(techincally itachi let him win yes i know but itachi did say that without susanoo sasuke would've killed him for sure) and he lost the curse mark and never got it back.

Then after finding out the truth about Itachi and that he basically just killed his brother that actually loved him his hatred and emotional state awoke the Mangekyo sharingan which gave him strong genjustu, amatesru and Susanoo...which he spammed to fight Danzo and the kages and then got Itachi's eyes thus gaining the Eternal Mangekyo sharingan which is what Itachi wanted him to do anyway which only served to make sure he wouldn't go blind using his powers.

Then he 'died' came back got the rinnegan after getting injected with hashirama dna and through that gained perfect Susanoo and his new teleport along with all the abilities granted by the rinnegan like shinra tensei, baso tein and chibaku tensei and ningendo.

He had to train and experience loss and even DIE to gain the powers he has now and in the end he was willing to let him die and give all that power up to Kakashi and even now refuses to take a free arm that would make him even more powerful since it'd be an arm completely composed of hashirama cells which in theory would give him the rinnegan possibly in both eyes not just his left.

And really he got pissed cause naruto was surpassing him just like Itachi and back then anything that reminded him of Itachi made him angry and then the sound 4 tempted him and sasuke took it. Naruto chased after him, they fought, naruto lost and sasuke let him live. Say what you want but he's far from the worst character...Hell you wanna talk shitty characters? Talk about Danzo or Sai or Ino

4331827 i never said the leaf i said in naruto as in the series in general garaa's life sucked but guess what he changed after meeting naruto seeing there was a better way

you just said it sasuke lives for hate that does not make him a good character all he did for all of part 2 is change who he hated and wanting to make every one he could suffer hell look at what he did to his own team mate int he fight with danzo he tried to kill her after she had just saved his life

sasuke's life is bad beacuse he him self throws away every one who tries to show him kindness

4332096 No Sasuke's life was bad because events were set in motion against Itachi and Itachi felt the only way to set things right were to leave them all to Sasuke not realizing how he'd handle it. Itachi admitted that he failed and that Sasuke post fight with naruto was entirely his fault.

Sasuke always pushed away those who tried to love him because he didn't want to experience the pain of losing it which typically happens to Uchiha so he clung to hate instead but while it took naruto 3 years and losing a fucking arm he finally got it through Sasuke's head that he can let love into his heart and protect it instead of hating and Sasuke willing submitted and accepted Naruto's way.

At the time he tried to murder Karin...ok yeah he was a dick for that but I never liked that bitch anyway so fuck her she didn't do her job well enough xD

Again Sasuke isn't a perfect character and he's most def been more evil/anti hero but Hell if fucking Vegeta can get a break, Sasuke can get a break. Cause by comparison Vegeta was way...WAY more evil than Sasuke...by like a fucking lot and yet look at him now...total good guy. And look at Sasuke now. A loving husband and father, a master to Boruto Uzumaki and is finally friends legit with most everyone including naruto. Sasuke has come around full circle and thats all anyone wanted from him.

it was bad writing and instead of having sasuke earn forgiveness kishi just handed it to him redemption does not work that way you have to earn it

hell sasuke does not feel any remorse for his actions hell he knocked up sakura and then abandoned his own child never even bothering to write to his wife and kid

4333797 wrong read the sasuke novels and watch the current episodes about his time outside the village. He feels nothing but remorse and guards from the outside the village. He came home after awhile and conceived Sarada but only left because of the threat of momoshiki and kinshiki who were after kaguya and heh us after them. Now that they've been dealt with sasuke is home to train his daughter and his rivals kid...he's more than earned redemption by this point
