Delta Guardian, and Heart of the Dragon · 12:02am Dec 6th, 2016
Now, there are quite a few things that have been left unexplained with the Delta Guardian reboot. In this blog, I'm gonna be trying to explain everything as best I can.
Firstly, what happened to the world of the original Delta Guardian, and by extent Zinnia?
Well, after a long discussion with the higher-ups of the Displaced group, we've finally pinned down a canon, in-universe fate.
Voidlings.
As stated by MidnightChaos herself...
"Void Beings aren't sentient, the ones we can say exist. Voidlings, I called them, dissolve worlds trying to rise to sentience."
Voidlings are non-sentient creatures, born in the Void, who work for their sentience by dissolving worlds in the Multiverse. This is, unfortunately, what happened to Zinnia's world, the entire existence being dissolved by the Voidlings until only Zinnia herself remained, left adrift in the Void until the extreme exposure changed her into one of the very beings that had ended her world.
Now, Zinnia isn't the only one getting a retcon in the reboot, but that'll have to be left for a later date.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, until next time:
We work in the Shadows to serve the Light. La vittoria per gli assassini
Wow. That explains everything!
Well that's an awesome way to reboot a story.
Is that why there's a black shadow standing behind Zinnia in the Heart of a Dragon pic? Is she going to have to fend off the voidling Zinnia? If so, that would be cool.
kinda wish I could read the original since I just learned of it
Okay that makes no sense without context
