Thaumotology: a seminar. Part 2: Demonomics · 8:55pm Dec 4th, 2016
hey... Ok... Wow... T-thats a lot of new faces... Um... Welcome to the second part of our seminar on Thaumotology. Last time we talked about M-particles and how they are the building blocks of magic. Today we'll be going into a very specific but fundamental part of Thaumotology, that being demonomics, or as it's more commonly referred to, conjuration.
The word demon in a Thaumotological sense simply means any being not native to our plane of existence and has been pulled in by an outside force. They aren't inheirantly hostile, in fact most are very amicable and friendly. Heh... Ask any unicorn stallion how they got through those lonely college nights and they'll almost always give the same answer. A demon.
Demonomics is actually quite easy to master compared to other classes of magic. You see, it all comes back to M-particles. They don't exactly exist in our, or any other, reality. Agitate one enough and you rip right through the dimensional barriers for a time.
We call these rifts Daedra Tears. Daedra being an old word for demon. Some have theorized the reason M-particles don't obey the laws of physics is because they come from an alternate reality with different physics.
So... Daedra tears... Pretty interesting. I don't have any clever analogies soooo.... Any questions?
*raises hand*
Then what exactly are angels? Or is that the subject for next class?
4328857 no no. Demon is an all encompassing term. What we know as angels would be a sub breed of demon
