Fun Fact of the Week: 1st week of December, 2016 · 5:22pm Dec 3rd, 2016
Fun Fact of the Week: In total, 14 countries share a border with Russia. They include Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania*, Poland*, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, and North Korea. Out of all of them, North Korea is the only one to not share any type of physical land border (the border itself is very small) with Russia whatsoever. The two countries are separated by a small river, and the only connection between them is a railroad bridge.
*Lithuania and Poland do not border mainland Russia, but rather the small section containing Kaliningrad that is broken off to the west on the Baltic Sea.
