    Featured?!

Y'know for a moment there I was scared I'd lost my touch when it came to writing after I took those years on hiatus... this is a really encouraging sign.

Thank you all so much for showing me I've still got it! It's reassuring, and more than a little flattering. Don't think I've really processed it yet, since I basically just woke up.

    Good to be Back

I won't promise that I'll be able to return to my old projects immediately, or even at all. But I did mean it when I said I was coming back! I've spent too long not doing anything about my passion for writing, and that needs to change. :twilightblush:

So, in I come with a brand new story to tell! Please, come and tell me what you think of the beginning to the Coves of Courage!

    The Old Bones Creak

The pegasus' eyes fluttered open blearily. How long had it been since they closed? Weeks? Months? His coat felt uneven and unkempt, his mane was longer than he remembered, and thick with tangles he could feel without even moving yet. When his eyes adjusted to the low light around him, the dusk seeping in through a boarded up window; everything he had known was coated in moss and lichen. Vines

1. Is there going to be a sequel to Rarity, POW?
2. Why did you choose a pegasus as your OC, and why the colors?
3. What do you think about you/your OC going to farrier to get some of these?
derpicdn.net/img/2012/8/22/79764/full.jpg

5. What is your opinion of the following game (Battalion Wars 2) and video, and would you get this game if it still had access to multiplayer?

What is your dream job, and what do you usually do for Christmas?

A) Interesting story, that: I was at a church picnic when I couldn't help but notice a very peculiar hat bobbing through the crowd. Based on its bright colors and cheerful character (At least, compared to the hats most of the men in the congregation wear), and the number of intriguing buttons on the side, I'd assumed it was a girl. Being the chatty sort around females, I waited until the wearer came into sight. Surprise, surprise: it was a dude.

Startled, but overall unfazed, I asked him about his hat: he replied by bluntly telling me it was a character (Derpy) from a show called My Little Pony. Not being a stranger to the world of cartoons, myself, I decided to give it a try. And the rest is history.

B) He's really just my ponysona. As for what prompted his creation? Well, whenever I am introduced to a new universe, one of my first instincts is to create a version of myself to put into that universe.

4324190
A) My favourite would probably be Starlight, because she and I have so much in common. I can't honestly say I have a favourite, though: since they each play their own role. I'm odd like that.

B) A fan of shipping? Understatement of the year! I'm not a "fan" of shipping, I was born into shipping. And again, I can't really pick a favourite. Though Fluttercord always holds a special place in my heart.

4324191
A) Eventually, if things go according to plan. Along with a story centered around Pinkie Pie's part in the war. I need to catch up on everything else first, though.

B) I've always been fascinated by flying, even with my slight fear of heights. As for the colors, those are based from my philosophy on darkness in life: "It's not something to avoid, nor is it something to center around with obsession. Merely something to embrace, and learn from." (To specify, I'm not talking about demonic forces: merely the everyday darkness that comes with living in a fallen world)

C) Who the what now? :rainbowhuh:

D) I think cursing in storytelling can sometimes be a necessity, but only when it is a necessity. For example: if it helps further character, and show the amount of stress that they're going through, I have no quarrel with it. It helps to- for lack of a better word -humanize the characters, and make them more relatable. It's often unneeded, and I've seen a few fics pull off heavy emotions without using swears, but there are times when it is useful.

E) I can't say I'm familiar with that game. As for multiplayer access? I don't usually play multiplayer on games anymore anyways, since I never really knew anyone online before I came here. And on the home-based multiplayer, nopony really plays with me anymore.

4324197
A) There are two answers to that question, and an interesting story behind it. But I'll give you the simplified version:
During my early childhood, I was awoken in the middle of the night, and given a riddle. In my ignorant youth, I misinterpreted it, and didn't really realize the answer until this year!
Old Dream Job: LEGO Set Designer.
Current Dream Job: The one I have, Tale-Teller, only with more outlets and resources to do so.

B) In our family, it changes from year to year. Sometimes we go to Grandpa & Grandmas, sometimes we stay home, one year we even went to an Uncle's place.

4324272
A) Usually, yeah.
B) Reddish-brown. When the sun shines on it just right, it looks like my head's on fire. Otherwise, it's brown.
C) Hello! :pinkiehappy:

4324283
A) His name used to be Mac Senseipony (My main alias is Mac Senseipoe), then it was Amethyst Sensei (I'm a sucker for purple, so amethysts are my favourite gem), then I finally decided on Amethyst Dawn: it just sounds right.

B) Fluttershy or AJ. They remind me of a... uhh... *ahem* "Close Friend".

C) Lulu, but not by much. Again, it's hard for me to pick favourites.

D) See above replies for answer.

E) I'm afraid that is a choice I cannot make! :twilightoops:

4324287
A) On this site, or in general? On this site, I'd say it was the intro of my proudest series-in-production thus far: A Faint Hope, When Darkness Breaks. In general? Dear Luna, it's been too long for me to remember.

B) What inspires me? Daily life, really. Movies and books play no small part, either. I'd say it's an equal share of the three.

C) I don't really know, as there are so many factors that an author must keep in mind. But one thing each author must be reminded of at some point is that their story is theirs: they get the ultimate say in what happens. If the fans decided everything when they weren't asked to help, they'd soon become bored with the story: as nothing unexpected would ever happen.

D) I'd say that a good place to start would be letting your imagination loose in any way you can! Whether it's acting out the scenes physically, or mentally, or just saying the lines out loud, or building a LEGO model inspired by the story you have in mind. Then put those actions, pictures, and models into words. Do whatever you're comfortable with!

E) Again, I'm no good at picking faves. Each has their time and place.

4324390
Hmm... Shooters, I guess?

Thank you all for your participation!
Be sure to stay tuned in case I'm asked more questions! :pinkiehappy:

God Bless You All, I LOVE You All!
~Amethyst Dawn.

Can you do any MLP voice impressions? If not, would it be awesome to meet any of your favorite authors here in FIMFiction in real life?

Would you listen to "Freedom Heart" by Majesty if I told you it was technically a power metal song but has a good message?

What are your views on classical music?

What is your favorite shade of grey?

What are your career aspirations?

[IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE REPLIES BELOW, THEY MIGHT ANSWER A FEW QUESTIONS AS WELL]

4324478
A) I'd say some of my favourite games are Halo, Minecraft, Chess, and hide-and-seek.
B) It's hard for me to pick a favourite type of game: all types can be fun.

4324646
A) Well, I do a really good Big Mac, and my Fluttershy is scarily on-point. Though, I have fun imagining the voices of OCs as well: Ponies like Vanguard Clash, Love Tap, etc.

B) Aw, HECK YEAH! I think my reactions would be in this order:
Ba) Stunned silence.
Bb) Fangirling Squees.
Bc) Huge hug, if they don't object.

4324656
A) I might, but to be perfectly honest: metal music tends to hurt my ears.

B) Classical is a good genre to listen to during relaxation: reading, napping, writing, eating, or just during meditation on philosophies, God's Truth, and Morals. (I may be young, but I'm a pretty deep thinker.)

C) Again, it's hard for me to pick a favourite with certain things, for each has its place.

D) To quote part of one of the answers below:

Old Dream Job: LEGO Set Designer.
Current Dream Job: The one I have, Tale-Teller, only with more outlets and resources to do so.

4324754
Thanks! :pinkiehappy:
And thank you for your participation, sis! :raritywink:

4324486

C; Sorry, that I guess I wasn't clear. Would you or your OC go to a doctor that specializes in hoof treatment to get nail-on horseshoes?

Sorry, kind of an obsession of mine... along with wanting to ride on the back of ponies with full tack :twilightblush:

4324902
Aha.
No, I don't think so: ponies don't really need horseshoes.

4324912 Meh, I disagree, but thanks for answering

4324928 :pinkiehappy:

here, have some complimentary 8-bit music;

4324753
Well, there really isn't any screaming, if that's the main source of provocation. I'd recommend it, though. A number of Majesty's songs are very inspiring. I was personally surprised that metal could be so positive.

Meditation. Nice. I personally am required to do so much thinking that I rarely have such a clear mind, although profundities are not unknown to me. I personally listen to classical music largely for the dramatic stuff, but I certainly have no shortage of "relaxation music" in my library. It is nice to be soothed.

Are there any ones you are particular toward? There's no shame in that; you'll certainly get none from me.

Speaking of tales, when I get the chance, I will next be considering the two stories you recommended to me, and I will let you know my thoughts once I have. My school work will be keeping me very busy over the next two weeks.
I personally am still going for an actuarial position, but I would love to do performance or voice acting. I love it so much, but I can confine them to hobbies if I must. You know what they say about too much of a good thing.

4324952
Thanks! :pinkiehappy:
Don't know why I didn't see this earlier. :facehoof:

4325342
That's not the main source, but I'll be sure to check it out once I can, then.

Thanks. I know what that's like: my family is so noisy that I often have to distance myself to gain concentration, which often causes hiatuses in my work. And I agree: the dramatic side is appealing as well. And indeed it is.

Not really, no. :twilightblush:

Sweet! Feedback! :yay:
And thanks!
And I know what you mean: Life comes first.

Nice choice! And I know what you mean.

1. What's your pet peeve in story telling? (We all have it; Sues/Stus, plotholes, grammar errors, all the works)

2. Whats your favorite show(s) outside of My Little Pony?

3. What do you like the most about the MLP community?

4. What do you like the least about the MLP community?

5. Hover Toast?

Muwahahahaahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa~! :pinkiecrazy: I don't have a real fifth question, so ignore it if it goes against your rules, and sorry that it took me so long to ask these questions

Answer well, AD, answer well~! :pinkiehappy:

-GTU

4325584
*Squee!* :pinkiehappy:
*Ahem* nevermind that. :twilightblush:
Loving these questions!

Alright: let's get these answers out!
A) Definitely grammatical/punctuation errors: they tend to break immersion. Personally, though, I never really minded the Deus-Ex-Machina, if it's well-done.

B) I have several: Phineas and Ferb (#PhinabellaShipper4Life), Ninjago, The Middle, Drive Thru History, and a couple others I'm not remembering at the moment.

C) Mostly everything. It's hard for me to pick favourites when it comes to things like that: as each segment of the community plays its part, whether we like it or not.
Though, I'd say the creativity, and the need to support others instead of tearing them down that many of us take to heart is one of the parts that I love most. There will always be the exception (I'm looking at you Lily Peet), but those are just that: the exception, not the norm.

D) Clopping, Overdone Trolling, and Incest-shipping. Basically everything I don't like about the internet in general. :rainbowlaugh:

E) You've just read my mind... :pinkiecrazy:

AD, huh? I like it. :raritywink:

4325595

Thank you very much about answering my questions! That means a lot! (And...did you look FORWARD to it?! I am blushing!) :twilightblush:

I know what you mean about you-know-who; I've got mixed feelings about the guy. On on hand he makes some good points like with the top villains, buuuuut mostly he's...kind of a downer. :unsuresweetie:

AD SHALL BE MY CROWNED NICKNAME FOR THEE~! MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :pinkiehappy:

-GTU

4325638
No problem, Gala! (And yes, yes I did. You're a friend, after all.) :raritywink:

Indeed. They can be funny, but... yeah. :twilightoops:

SO LET IT BE WRITTEN, SO LET IT BE DONE! :trixieshiftright:
(THERE's an old movie reference...)

4325353
:pinkiehappy: I appreciate that you'll consider it. I do hope you like it. If not, or if it still give you headaches, I would not be offended if you were to stop listening ten seconds in, even.

Sweet! Feedback! :yay:
And thanks!

I'm always glad to help fellow content creators.

4324952
Great theme.

4325903
No problem. And thanks for understanding.

And indeed.
