Flash/Sunset EQG Headcanon

While I haven't been writing actual chapters, I HAVE been taking notes and developing characters! Yesterday I wrote up a bunch about Flash (and Sunset) post-LoE, so I figure why not post them here for you guys to see as well if you want?

-After the events of Legend of Everfree, after Sunset realizes that Twilight & Timber are in it for the long run she sort of gives up on pursuing Twilight for a while

-Flash never really got over their first break up so they decided to try again, and started dating but going through the process of like - hugging, kissing, etc, slowly for a while

-So they dated for a good couple months, and while Flash was really feeling good about their relationship, Sunset was struggling with her sexuality - she WANTED to be attracted to him, she really really cared about Flash but it never got past a friendship for her because she didn't want to come to terms with the fact that she was gay. So she was kind of hoping a relationship with Flash of all people would convince her but that obviously didn't happen

-They had a super fun relationship, even though it didn't work out; Flash really liked taking her out to crappy movies and just holding hands and playing music together, the stuff they didn't really fully enjoy when she was using him in the past

-Flash was always afraid of asking Sunset about sex and that aspect of a relationship, because he cared about her too much and didn't want to risk any kind of weirdness(?) to come up between them, so he waited it out (albeit uncomfortably at times) until the one night she went to him about it

-So after things kind of got a little heated 'n all that jazz, Sunset wasn't into it and by that point had to tell Flash the truth, so she came out to him

-On the inside he was actually very very upset over it, and sort of blamed Sunset for leading him no for so long thinking he finally found someone to love in that way, but he kept those feelings hidden because he knew how fragile she was about others' perception of her, so instead he full-out supported her and put on a happy demeanor

-Those sad feelings went away after a while, mainly because he forced himself to be optimistic around her, and they still hung out a lot only as friends - they became bros though and will always be the best bros

-THEN after a year or so, Rarity introduced them to Pommel, who was in her major at college (and had Suri Polomere as a shitty roommate, so Rarity befriended her and let her stay in her single dorm)

-Still working out the details but Flash and Pommel by extension of Sunset and Rarity just naturally began hanging out with the group, and those two generally congregated together because they didn't have as much in common because no magic horse powers

-And eventually when they do get together, Flash is able to be a sweet caring boyfriend again and he teaches her to play guitar (though she sucks at it) and he's always inspiring her to pursue her dreams and have more self-confidence and when they get married they have two girls together and they're just the sweetest little family ever

-and Sunset is the cool godmother that brings over the big awesome presents for christmas and birthdays because GDI THESE KIDS WILL LIKE HER EVEN IF SHE HAS TO SPEND ALL HER MONEY ON THEM
