    Story update and other stuff

Believe it or not I've actually started a new job at long last. I'd only planned on staying with my last employer six months, but ended up being stuck there for nearly five years. During my time there I had to put up with some of the worst bigotry I've ever encountered, despite the company claiming to be 'inclusive, supportive of diversity, etc'. Spoiler alert : They weren't!

    Bon Bon's story.

Seems to be coming along well. 365 pages at 192,769 words.

    We'll get there.

    Story Update

Now on page 280 of Bon Bon's story. Looking good so far, but quite a technical challenge as she's been involved in other parts of the Fairlight story arc and I need to be careful tying it all together. I'm also aware that I will need to incorporate Lyra's story into it too.

    Continuing on

Despite one of the readers claiming that they had felt like vomiting after reading my last story, I have pressed on with my scribblings. Apparently eliciting a physical and -or- an emotional response from a story is considered a good thing. Or so I'm told.

Update on the latest story · 10:38pm Nov 22nd, 2016

192, 133 words as of tonight - and my eyeballs drying out.

I would have done more but the blasted boiler decided to pack in on Sunday night which means i'm sat here with an old electric radiator out of my shed and two even older paraffin lamps until the engineer comes with the new part tomorrow (Some time after 8:00am apparently). It's certainly atmospheric though, particularly with the wind howling outside and the rain lashing the windows. I love the old lanterns, especially the warming light they give and, to some extent, the smell. The rest of the family hate the whiff of paraffin, but to me it smells of history - and less frenetic days. Perhaps one day i'll find my special somepony and be able to cuddle with them in a cosy chair with a log fire crackling away and the yellow flickering lights of the old hurricane lamps - safe and snug, far away from the chill wind of winter. Such is the stuff of which dreams are made.

Anyway, enough of my drivel. The story is coming on well, and i'd like to think i could have it finished for Christmas. It's distinctly possible. Now, if i could find a proof reader that would be even better, but we'll see. Meanwhile, i'm playing with the idea of a fun 'one shot' story. It has nothing to do with the Fairlight series, but could be amusing. Or awful of course!

That's it for now gang. Keep your powder dry...

I said it in the past, I'll say it again, I'm here if you need the help. Sure no professional, but I am fairly decent at noticing a thing or two.
And what about my reviews in the past?
Havnt they always been heart warming and full of inspiration?
Heh,well besides that, as I said if you need any help I'm a message away.

4339010 Hey Modz, thanks for that. The story is nearing its conclusion but will still need proof reading of course. I had a disaster yesterday when I lost over two hours work by clicking 'don't save' by accident. Thankfully I could remember everything I'd done and I hastily wrote it back up. I've now come down with the cold from hell and I feel terrible. Still, with any luck we'll have it ready for proof reading by Christmas and I'll be over this horrible bug in the next few days. Not long left , but if its ready its ready, if not, its not. I'll give you a shout when we're good to go!

Take Care,
