Rainbow Blitz recently rejoined the Wonderbolts, to act as an advisor to both Spitfire and Fleetfoot during their peacekeeping actions in Griffonstone. He is the father of Rainbow Dash, who you know as both a dear friend who has helped me recover after we discovered the Elements of Harmony, and a mare who has stolen my heart. I find that I can't help but like him, with his good nature but stalwart loyalty to both the Wonderbolts and his foal.*

Hair: A rainbow of hues**, much like his daughter’s. Just short of shoulder length, slightly graying at the edges.

Scars or accessories? Many scars recorded. Mostly from his long military service and several training accidents.
Close relationships: Rainbow Dash, his only foal. Firefly, his mate and Dash's dam. Served with a large number of Wonderbolts both as a training instructor and as a Wing leader before his retirement. Most notably served with Fleetfoot, Blaze, and Spitfire, as well as the first griffon Wonderbolt, Captain Crimson Ripbeak.
Personality: Resolute and confident. A pillar of military discipline.

Military Tactics – While never previously the leader of a full Wonderbolt force, has served as second in several major engagements and has a record fantastic performance in military affairs.
Extreme Weather Survival – Including Deep Winter flight and unsupported survival in the extreme weather conditions of the far north, Rainbow Blitz received several commendations during his youth as an expert leading expeditions to the north and the old kingdoms. Includes training others how to survive in those conditions.
Weathermaker – While he was not certified by the Weather School, Blitz's natural talent with weather making related to lightning could have easily earned him a place within their halls, likely as a teacher.
Wonderbolt Captain – A rank earned by a Wonderbolt who has proven leadership, military expertise and keen thinking in high stress situations for several years.
Veteran of the Night of The Red Sun – Served as one of a dozen captains intimately involved with Princesses Celestia’s planning and staging of the one night campaign that brought about the current peace with the Griffon Empire.

* - Regardless of my own personal bias on this letter, I begin to ache for the chance to step up in some way. The politics of two nations may be beyond my study, but surely, my beloved princess, there must be some way I can help with the situation in Griffonstone.
