I couldn't think of a title for this one, so here's a picture of the sirens looking cute together. · 10:19pm Nov 13th, 2016
There it is. They're like squishy, scaly cats.
Now for the actual blog post. Progress! I've found a bit of time for writing these last few weeks, and the next chapter to True Story is nearly finished, along with a couple quick bonus chapters!
While that was getting sorted out, I got through a few thousand words of the next SFaCF chapter too, and while I'm not quite ready to post the completed sleepover chapter, the dinner scene feels done enough that it could be looked over again and posted shortly after True Story is all squared away, the sleepover bit following some time later. Or it could all be one 6-7-thousand-ish word chapter posted at once. Not sure yet.
After that, I might be posting a one-shot that came to me over the last couple months, but isn't even halfway done yet. It comes with a song!
Lastly, I had the vague image of the sirens all turning into some kind of monster that feeds on something for power around Halloween, but I could only come up with them turning into a vampire (Aria, who would enjoy the elegant, gothic spookiness aspect and her newfound excuse to stand around looking broody) and a succubus. Adagio was the obvious choice, but if it's for the seductive part, the same case could be made for her as the vampire, and I got more attached to Succubus Sonata, who would squick Aria out with descriptions of her escapades.
"-and when I was all lathered up, I got him to-"
"-notlisteningnotlisteningnotlistening-"
"-wheelbarrowed over the-"
"-lalalalalacan'thearyoucan'thearyoulalalalala-"
"-Oh, we even found this octopus that-"
"GET OUT OF MY CRYPT!!"
"Yeesh, ever since you went all undead, you've turned into such a stiff. Like this other guy I-"
"Sonata, so help me, I will get the chastity belt!"
"Eep!"
Unfortunately, nothing really came to me for Adagio, or whoever ended up not being a vampire or a succubus, and having two or more of them be the same thing just didn't sound as fun. So that was the end of that, I guess.
That is freakin adorable.
Incidentally, this went up yesterday and I think you'd like it.

I saw, and it made me wonder if the subjects would be more enamored with their own tiny imitators, or each others'. If there's any truth the idea of MamaDagio, she might have a heart-attack at the smaller, cuter versions of Aria and Sonata.
I mean, as long as they didn't consider it insulting that people were treating them as costumes or anything. The image of any one of the Dazzled crusaders being picked up and huggled still makes me smile.
4301140 I might have to write that one...
But yeah, I thought the same thing.
You could go with Medusa for Adagio - not being able to adore herself in the mirror and making everyone rock hard* could be fun.
* - possibly some kind of less lethal punishment for both could be suitable for your usual style, like instead of turning into stone permanently, they (including Adagio) would be just paralyzed for some time... With Adagio literally not being able to get out of the situation without someone's help.
Also, her hair doesn't necessarily has to turn into snakes, but still will be able to hiss at people.

Nah, that sounds like Adagio would be getting penalized where the others didn't, and she gets enough grief in fan content as it is.
Besides, the aim was that they be a monster that feeds on something abnormal, like blood or spirit energy, and the closest thing I can think of for a medusa is (somehow) eating rocks made from their stoned victims. Which is unworkably dark for anything I'd be remotely interested in writing.

Aria, with being vampire and all will not be able to see herself in the mirror, hilarity can happen. Also, sunlight will be unpleasant.
Sonata could have fleas, permanent heat, terrified of vacuum cleaners, etc.

I did vaguely have the image of Aria forgetting she can't take sunlight, walking out, getting incinerated, and needing someone to spill a few drops of blood in her ashes to revive as a running gag, but the feeding thing (based on how they used to feed on negative energy) is kind of the sticking point for me.
Of course, as I'm not writing this anyway, the theme probably doesn't matter. That in mind, I think I'd make Adagio something like a teasing Freddy Krueger; a dream monster that, instead of killing, gives people really suggestive dreams that distract them and make them feel awkward in their waking lives by playing on their secret fantasies, able to slip into the dreams of anyone that finds her attractive as opposed to fearing her. Something like that. (though, as I understand succubi to have initially been more or less the same thing, just with soul-sucking, I don't know if that's just Sonata's thing again. Maybe Adagio should be the succubus. )
Or, as Adagio is sort of scary on her own, maybe the fear thing stays the way it is.
D'aww.
