"On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month..."
On this day, we celebrate, not only the end of World War I, but the accomplishments of the many veterans of our armed forces. Whatever name one might recognize it by - Armistice Day, Remembrance Day, Veterans Day - we acknowledge the sacrifices of those who gave their todays to ensure our tomorrows.
I will not pretend to know what veterans go through; what they see, how they think, who and what they lose, and what they suffer in and through. I will say that I have respect for our armed forces, and those of our allies as well, along with the many who fought tyranny and beat it, or at least held it back.
May God be with you all, with a good rest for those who have gone forth to fight.
