And gals. Sometimes it's hard to tell by usernames.
Remember, there can be many facets of an argument that you might not see, especially on the internet. It's why things like Poe's Law exist. It's easy to fire and forget when it comes to writing a comment or review, but understand what the consequences might be.
I've gotten people who have no idea what they are talking about. I have even received death threats. I'll just get straight to it. The lesson here is that even though you may have a personal or vested interest in something, recognize that it is still not yours. Fanfiction is free to audiences, with the rare exception of those that produce commissioned work. People write because they want to, and it's fun seeing people appreciate your work. I understand what it is like to be invested in something and feel inexplicably betrayed when things don't turn out the way you want them to.
But that's the thing. It's not yours. We writers love it when you love our work, but it is our work. You may not like the turn, and you may vehemently disagree, but your disgust, no matter how well founded, does not give you any sort of bargaining power to command and control the writer. Dislike it, even hate it, but you have no right to control it.
First, I'lld like to say that I completely agree with you. The readers have no right to control the writer. Simple as that.

I think you might want to practce your puns a bit. Unless your hiding some super secret mastery of puns, I don't think you can beat that.
