Back in Business, and a Progress Report (6). · 3:58am Nov 3rd, 2016
Hey guys, sorry for the recurring delays, but I'm happy to report that my new computer is up and running, playing games like a dream. Here's what my upgraded work station looks like:
Doesn't it look beautiful?
So anyway! With my computer set up and all of my files uploaded, I can finally get back in the swing of things. With that, I thought this would be a good chance to show a progress report of all my stories and chapters so far:
The Model's Secretary:
Chapter 44 ~ Just started.
Bonus Chapter ~ Also just started.
Unleash the Magic:
Chapter 9 and 10 ~ Completed draft, waiting to be edited.
Chapter 11 ~ About 45% finished with draft.
The One Who is Always There:
Chapter 5 ~ Completed draft, waiting to be edited.
Epilogue (a.k.a. Final Chapter) ~ About 45% finished.
Dear Miss Cheerilee:
Chapter 5 ~ About 50% finished.
What I'm hoping to do is get TOWAT finished so I could focus on my other stories for a while. With the delays, I doubt I'll have TMS finished by the end of the year, and with how crazy the holidays can be (especially this year with me working my first in retail), I don't think I'll need to rush and beat myself to burnout or death. Whichever comes first.
Also, yes, I'm starting DMC back up after the long hiatus (that I'm terribly sorry I didn't change the story's progress status to begin with), and though it will be a bit longer than TOWAT, I'm hoping to get it done around 10 to 15 chapters (and no, I will not have another TMS scandal with this one like I did before), so be on the lookout for that if you've been a very patient, longtime fan.
I think that's all I have for now. As I've mentioned, the next couple of months will be hectic, and totally expensive (excluding the $3K worth of damage that was brought to my car recently, not my fault, and totally covered, a story to share in another time if anyone's curious), but I will not let the holiday rushes get the better of me. I will make the most out of the time I have to the end of the year, to adjust to a healthier (or at least more maintained) lifestyle, to catch up with a bunch of games I've been dying to play on my new desktop, and see some the awesome movies coming up (Anyone seeing Dr. Strange?). And of course, be able to continue updating my stories for all my loyal readers and followers of them. I'm grateful to have something like this to keep me moving and still entertaining me despite everything that's been going on, same goes for all you guys who are waiting patiently for my next update. Out of everyone I've met in this world, it's you guys that I don't want to let down the most, as you all give me reason to keep moving forward, and that's really saying something. Look forward to the next update, and until next time,
This is Dudeler, signing off.
P.S. I might post a random one-shot here and there if I get stuck somehow, like the one I have sitting in the back-burner right now that's been forming from the stranger parts of my imagination. To look forward to, or to fear of what may come, that's for you all to decide.
woot, grats on the rig man
No extra case fans? Use Speedfan to get temp and voltage and hard drive health readings.
A proper Logitech dualshock controller. I approve. As a PC gamer, I am disgusted by the number of people who use their lopsided, laggy, designed-by-a-blind-monkey Xbox controller with their PC. (the Steam controller, I am on the fence about).
Crysis is still on sale on GoG for a couple days more. It wasn't that long ago it had the reputation for melting videocards on any but top tier rigs. Today, it plays beautifully on most builds. For a long time it was the opposite of Halo. PC gamers got to mock and tease Xbox users for not getting this groundbreaking exclusive. It did eventually come to consoles, but in a crappy, scaled down halfassed port. In any case, Master Chief wishes he had a badass sexy nanosuit instead of clunky spacemarine armor that Doom Guy and Quakeguy did better many years before.

Setting it directly on carpet means you have to be extra vigilant against dust. You might consider a stand or caddy to lift it off the ground. This often helps with airflow as well.
