So let's try to piece together this fic. It starts with the traditional weather report and camera sweeping across Equestria ("There's rain on the mountain..."), and then our narrator (Iron Horse?) is called "inside" to the Princess of the Dawn who sends him off to fight "in the war of the dragons." At some point, they "beg for mercy" - let's hope it's after the war, and not before.

Unfortunately, we can't be sure about that, because Celestia turns Nightmare (Supernova?), causes "a forgotten priest" to disappear (since he's forgotten, I guess we don't get to hear who he is either), and forcibly gathers together a chorus of "vestal virgins" to worship herself. Twilight is among them.

A cutscene hints that "The Wizard of Oz" is behind this. Readers will infer this's Discord in a wizard costume, because the chaos from Supernova Sun has given "life for Satan" - i.e. released Discord himself from stone. Though, there's still a sizeable faction holding out for Anon - really, the original Wizard of Oz could easily be argued to be an everyman self-insert.

Celestia's Supernova goes deeper. She causes the sun to remain in the sky at midnight, and she sets the moon on fire. She seizes Discord himself in pretended romance ("The Beauty and the Beast") - but there is "Death upon her lips," for she secretly poisons him. Despite this, she gives him a royal funeral and buries him in "her royal crypt."

All the world is now in her hands - "Kings and bishops bow to grace Princess of the Dawn" - as "a new day dawns for heaven and earth." There shall be no more night; "a first sunbeam is killing the night once upon a time for ever more."

So... that's the fanfic: a tragedy with a Bad Ending as Nightmare Celestia enslaves Twilight, kills Discord, destroys the moon (perhaps with Luna still in it?), and conquers the world.

The End.

Unless Twilight escapes the Vestal Virgins to gather the Elements of Harmony to restore Celestia to herself?

I actually got an idea for a (non-metal-y) story about Iron Horse: The Thousand Lives of Sir Iron Horse. In it, he's a hero of pre-classical Equestria and is revered in several different cultures in several different ways but nobody knows anything at all about the real person, and so the protagonist, a young historian, starts to doubt there ever was an Iron Horse and in trying to piece together some semblance of history they learn something very important about Epona.

After all, what can change the nature of a pony?
