Realize I haven't breathed a word about this, and that I'm generally silent on the blog side of Fimfiction as it is, but I'm attending Everfree Northwest this year!

    Glimpses 2 - Now Complete

Though it was a day late, hopefully, it's not a dollar short. I've posted the final chapter of Glimpses 2! I hope everyone enjoys the last chapter and enjoyed the story as I whole. I would also like to thank everyone that submitted suggestions to my blog about a month ago. The anthology would not have been nearly as interesting without your input!

Halloween Story - Editing Request · 4:52am Oct 30th, 2016

Between work, Civ 6, and many other things and distractions, the multi-part story I intended for Halloween isn't quite ready to begin posting. You'll still be getting that story, but it may be a bit of spooky fun that shows up in December. Still, for Halloween on Monday, I do have a one-shot story I've prepared to keep up my tradition of having a story for Halloween (my personal favorite holiday of the year.)

But because of the many distractions, the one-shot story needs some quick turnaround technical editing if it's going be ready to post by late tomorrow or earlyMonday. So, I'm sending out this request/invitation for some tight mechanical editing to all who follow me here on Fimfiction. If you feel you can lend me a hand with this quick story project, please drop a comment on this blog and I'll reach out to the morning to early afternoon of Sunday, Oct 30th.

Those who have worked with me before are more than welcome, but I'm also more than willing to work with new people. The story in question is 4k words. Fairly short, compared to most of my other stories, and fairly tame compared to some of my other Halloween stories like Into The Depths and From The Depths. I don't want to give up more than that so as to not to spoilt the story before it's released.

And beyond that, I hope everyone has been and will continue to enjoy a lovely weekend.

P.S.: I will update this post once the technical editors have been selected, and those technical editors will receive a link to the story's google doc directly from me.

UPDATE 12:04 PST 10/30/2016:
Some of the interested commentors have been contacted. Editing slots will be filled based on them getting back to me.

UPDATE 2:00 PST 10/30/2016:
Those who were contacted have begun the editing process, filling all the needed slots. Thank you, everyone, for volunteering and hopefully you enjoy the story when it releases within the next few hours.

Well, if all you want is a technical check-upā€”more proofreading than editingā€”I might be able to do that for you.

I think I can spare the time, if you're willing to take me on again. I have time for a short story like that. Otherwise I look forward to reading it once it is published.

I'm kind of tight on time, but I can give it a quick look if you can't find anyone else.

I can take a look also

The worst part of me moving to Japan has been lack of schedule coordination. When you need editing on Sunday, I'll be at work on Monday. Shame for me, but I'm sure there will be lots of people offering help.

I cannot be quite certain of his time right now, but might I suggest SolidFire?

He's always been quite capable of technical edits.

Shoot him a PM, see what he says, couldn't hurt, could it?

If technical editing means quick pedantic grammar checks and general tidiness, then I might be able to help as soon as need be. Can't sleep now that the coffee has kicked in, and now that I have finished coding, I would be delighted to have another editing job to do.

[EDIT]
The night appears to be taking hold of me anyways. You seem to have been gone for around an hour, so I'll check back in the early morning instead. (early by my standards, anyhow ;) )

The timing may be a bit tight, but I can try fit in to taking a look at it for you. Always fun working on your stuff. :)

Anytime you need a hand, confined to a wheelchair and my times my own so willing....and mentally able anyway.:facehoof:

Allow me to be of service.

Y U never think of me? I've edited a full novel for you before!

Also, how good is Civ VI?

My schedule should allow me to help of need be. I (should) have links to the stories I've edited on my user page and then, of course, my own stories. Considering that technical editing is my forte, I'll offer my services. World building and story editing aren't my best area, so I found it nice to see someone needing assistance with technical stuff.

I'll glad land a hoof to help with proofreading and editing. I have a free weekend and reading a short story, which I believe will be enjoyable, in order to help somepony else would be just an icing on the cake

I hope it's Nyx related.
Do you ever plan on making another story with her?
Anyways, I'm super excited for this new story :D

Take your time, it's alright. I can't wait to see what both one-shot and longer stories will be about.

Sure, I'll volunteer, and join the editor que you seem to have quickly attracted. I'm with Black Hoof here, go ahead and take your time in whatever you maybe writing, we can wait for quality.

Wait... did Civ 6 come out already?

Looks like you've already got plenty of volunteers, but I'll put my name in the batch anyways.

4277207 Same. I can certainly proofread it if you like. Law clerk trained, so accuracy is mission-critical for me every time, and I have a good eye. As for Hallowe'en as favourite holiday... well, it is my birthday, so absolutely!

(Yes, I have a birthday on Nightmare Night. Now if only Princess Luna delivered cakes...)

Civ 6 is a pretty good distraction.

Civ 6 is a much better waste of time :pinkiecrazy:

Bah, I miss out again. Oh well--next time!
