Derpy, Pinkie Pie, Sweetie Belle, Chrysalis. Myself, summed up in four MLP characters. I'm a deeply flawed individual, but if you can get past that, I'm sure we can be the best of friends.

If you're still a fan of my works, you may want to read this. · 2:46pm Oct 28th, 2016

As of the writing of this journal, I have deleted all of my In Progress stories. The simple reason why is, I can't write ongoing stories anymore. Not because I'm incapable of coming up with content for them, or because they intimidate me, but because I don't ever get a chance to sit down and write updates. And when I do, it's usually only about two or three times a month that I can sit down and have any sort of dedicated quality time with my writing. Which normally wouldn't be a problem...

If it weren't for the fact that I've noticed a pattern in the more popular stories on the site. What's the one thing they all have in common? They all get updated like every few days to a week. The stories remain fresh in the readers' minds, and they have reasons to continue to be excited about the story.

Kind of hard to do when I can only update once, maybe twice, a month.

So I'm relegating myself to only writing oneshots from now on. In case you're curious, Taken, Six, and The Grey Area are the stories that I deleted, as well as one that I had a story page for but had never gotten around to writing the actual story for.

If, for some reason, I do decide to go back to writing ongoing stories, my first project will most likely be a rewrite of Taken, as I'm very disappointed in the original story and want to give it a second go now that my writing ability is much better now that I've been writing horsewords for four years.

Sorry if this disappoints you all, but at least I'm leaving the option open to return to writing longer stories. (I know that's probably not going to make this easier, but eh.) Stay awesome.

What?

Why would you delete them?

That makes... that's... it's... why?

It's fundamentally opposed to the creative process....

Bruh, I'm in the same boat as you're in, a matter of fact my boat is sinking.

I only get to update my stories every 1-2 months instead of once or twice a month and overall they're still going fine. But then again we're all different, but I do agree with Masterweaver, deleting them probably was a bit too much. However, that's not the point. I hope you do come back to write continuing stories, they're quite good. Just don't rush yourself or think about them, just write them cause *you* want to, don't worry about us.

Have to agree 10000% with 4274912

Whyyyyyyyyyy!? :raritydespair:

Seriously, there's a 'Canceled' tag! Hitting delete spits in the face of every reader that was following your stories so far!

Believe me, I seriously debated just throwing up the Canceled tag. But then they'd just be there, laughing in my face... It was probably a mistake doing so, but there's no going back now. I do still have the two chapters of The Grey Area... I could just resubmit those. Taken and Six I'd have to check on...

4274912 I might not finish some stories, but I won't take them down if I don't. I like to think of them as memories of growth and expansion.
