The next chapter of The View From The Window is being sent out for proofreading, to be posted in only a few hours! Ideally, in only one or two. But who knows, I may have forgotten entirely how to write and need to scrap the whole thing (let's hope not).
In other news, (and in a move basically tailored directly to those who will page back through my older blogs in the future), massive thanks and gushing to bookplayer for giving me top-line billing in her own blog that first night when I posted View. I'd guess that at least a quarter of my staggering 60 views are drawn from that endorsement (and I certainly wouldn't object to another 200, either).
And finally, a little contemplation of an interesting phenomenon I've noticed.
There's been a bit of an imbalance in the reception to The View From The Window, at least as I see it. You see, so far it's been favorited 21 times...but it's only been upvoted 16 times. Now, this is just me, but I'm more demanding about what I favorite than what I'll upvote, and if something gets the star it also gets the thumb by default. It that just me? *shrug* Just my thoughts.
Haha, I noticed the same thing when I started on the site. That's just what happens. I always got more favorites than I did likes. Suddenly, that changed. Now I get the exact opposite.
Why this is, I'm not sure. Sometimes I like a story, but don't necessarily want to favorite it. But I never favorite a story and not upvote it. Strange :/
Anyway, looking forward to your post! Don't you ever doubt yourself on this site. I will read it when I get the time: gotta go to a meeting and then I have to finish my own crappy story
