    Sigh...

    Welp. This project fell through.

It's safe to say that I have long since lost my will to write. I haven't done anything significant on here in months. I've had ample opportunity to continue, but the mood just isn't there. My drive is gone.

    NaPoWriMo

This group is advocating that the month of June shall be FIMFiction's NaNoWriMo-esque month. Unfortunately, I am not at a point in my life where I can confidently assure my participation. Standardized tests, finals, first flurry of job applications, praying to Chrysalis that I can at least lock myself in my room on the weekends and

    So um... Requests?

I am fresh out of new ideas, and I want to get back into writing for this site.

If you comment on this blog post, I will consider your idea. I may reject it, or I might start but never finish it, but I will share what becomes of your idea with you.

    New Character

Cerberus Junior - What happens if Chrysalis gets it in her head that having demon in her Hive's gene pool would be nice. A good representation of Freud's tripartite model of the psyche. Three heads, one pair of chitinous wings, canine frame, hooves on hind legs, paws on front legs, changeling texture & surface.

    New Chapters Soon

So, after a long time, I'm finally back into writing things that my parents will allow me to publish within the next century. I've mostly been unproductive in the last few months, not that anyone's noticed, right? But I'm back, and glad to be here.

Google Docs · 2:59pm Oct 18th, 2016

Up until now, I've been using the Notes application on my iPad to write my stories, though I often used the word processor on Fimfiction to do most of my editing.

And then iOS 9 happened.

The app would crash in the middle of long writing sessions, and I would lose a good hour or so worth of work, with no way of recovering it, as the crashes occurred because the app was trying to send me an email with the contents of the document.

After this continued to happen under iOS 10, I finally said, "Screw it! Google Docs it is!"

I chose Google Docs because it's compatible with Fimfiction's word processor, and it works both online and without internet connectivity.

I'll be spending a lot of my free time this week evaluating the contents of each of the 181 documents I have, copying and pasting them into Google Docs, and double and triple checking that I don't miss a single word, and sorting them into folders based on which of my universes they exist, what stage I was at as a writer, and how much time I would like to pass at a minimum before anyone else lays eyes on them.

I don't feel comfortable writing while this process is taking place, so I'm very motivated to get this done as efficiently as possible.

And then, when it's all over, I'll have to make copies of each document on a backup account in case I get hacked, and then download it all to a flash-drive that no one will ever see.

A lot of these files are poorly written, ridiculously blatant wish-fulfilling, self-insertion fics. Some of it won't see the light of day for legal reasons, and some of it would leave the world a better place if it vanished into thin air, but I'm keeping all of them. Even if some of them are grammatical nightmares, incomplete thoughts, or cringe-inducing sludge that should be wiped from the face of the earth, I get to see how I've evolved as a writer since my beginnings almost a year and a half ago, and serve as a milestone for me to look back on as I continue to improve.

I know. My Google Docs stopped working on my IPad.
