Nightmare Nights by The Pony Print Project · 5:40am Sep 27th, 2016
Happy late night blog to you all!
I'm actually partway through one long journey and another, so currently I'm trying and failing at recuperating between flights. But! I got some exciting news over the weekend, which means it's time for me to share some background information with you guys.
The Longevity Theory, my first (and currently only) foray into the dark and twisted, is officially coming to print! Thanks to the dedicated folks at The Pony Print Project, this story will be included in a pony horror anthology just in time for Halloween. If that sounds like your cup of tea, click the cover art below!
These guys contacted me a few months back about the project, and I couldn't be more honored. The fact that someone out there likes my story enough to include it on an actual, physical bookshelf is not something I can even begin to describe. They've worked on a few other stories as well, including the well-received Memoirs of a Magic Earth Pony by The Lunar Samurai. Check that one out here!
The collection itself highlights short stories from relatively unknown authors like myself, and refrains from excessive gore in favor of a more atmospheric horror. In other words, you won't find Cupcakes here. If that's your thing: sorry!
While I have your attention, I also want to mention that I jotted down some notes on a new outline yesterday. It's no guarantee, but it could lead to a new story in the near future. It involves more new things that I haven't really touched before (though no horror elements), which certainly helps its case! I'm aiming for something around 10-30,000 words. I tend to underestimate how long a story will be though, so we'll see how that goes. The outline still has a lot of fleshing out to do anyway. You can't have a cake with just the milk!
Alright, I think that's everything for now. For those of you here on account of The Longevity Theory, I hope this is exciting for you! If you're more into a different story, I hope something here still caught your interest! For you and everyone else: catch you next time!
Nice job!
