Shocking News :V

I've been under observation for almost three days after checking myself into the ER here locally, and now I am finally back home again.

Upshot is that I'm going to be starting the ECT treatments immediately (next Wednesday or Friday).

This is probably closer to accurate than you'd expect.

I don't fully know what to expect, but I'll need to take off the next two-to-four weeks from work. That isn't ideal, but you do what you gotta.

I might be able to keep working on writing during that period, but maybe not. Again, I don't know just how disabling the treatments will be, though I expect it will be manageable: I should still be able to make progress on my projects in some way.

The goal of course is to help me not want to kill myself all the time but not make me well-adjusted enough that I can't write soul-crushing sadfics —just kidding, it's to help me get better as much as possible. Fortunately for y'all, I don't think I'll ever have difficulty coming up with interesting fiction that has meaning to me.
