Thunderbolt Sentinel's steady climb over these past few years is unsurprising, for this man is a talent at singing, acting, and, what's more, attracting. He attracts ladies in particular to his natural talent as an entertainer who appeals to them.
With that, it's to those ladies in particular that Thunderbolt dedicates this whole album of (mostly original) tunes. And it's not just for the ladies - - when he sings Bill Withers' excellent opus ''Ain't No Sunshine'' he's talking to people who feel the same way. And he sends out a great cautionary tale to the men too - - if a man doesn't treat her right, ''[he's] Gonna Lose Her''!
His voice is of an incredible range as shown throughout these sessions, recorded on Valentine's Day at Columbia's studios in New York, he goes from up-tempo on songs like ''Everything I Do'' to mid-tempo on ''I Ain't Getting Tired of Loving You'' and finally to the crooner's chosen tempo, especially on his recording of ''Time In A Bottle'', one of many brilliant songs from the pen of the late Jim Croce.
I'm sure you too will come to the conclusion that Thunderbolt's songs, on his very first Columbia effort, are really, truly, for you.
