Author Update 9/19/16 - A new fic! I'm moving to England! ALSO GAY HORSE HUMANS (this isn't clickbait i swear) · 10:05pm Sep 19th, 2016

I swear my dad almost walked in on me drawing this like three times

If this doesn't get Top Rated on Derpibooru within the day i'm leaving the fandom.

But while we're waiting for that, I've got an Author Update™ for all you cool folks! Click on for news about my new fic, The Nightmare I Need, info on the upcoming Sunset Shipping Project, a little bit of info on the ongoing Aria Blaze: Throat Puncher, and a bit of personal news: I'm moving to England!

In a few different blogs over the past few months, I've mentioned a certain fic that I've been working on... a dark shipping fic called The Nightmare I Need. Well, today I'm pleased to announce that after nine months of work, the fic is finally done!!!

The Nightmare I Need

“Accept it,” Midnight whispered. “You need me.”

Worthless, weak, ugly—as far as Twilight is concerned, that's all she'll ever be. Even three months into their relationship, Twilight still refuses to believe that an absolute goddess like Sunset could ever love a loser like her. And it doesn't help that Twilight spends every night being tormented by nightmares of Midnight Sparkle, the one being who hates Twilight more than she hates herself.

Twilight can only remember a single moment in her life when she felt strong: the five minutes that she spent as Midnight Sparkle. The five minutes she spent with magic.

Now, tortured by fear, anxiety, and never-ending nightmares, Twilight knows the only way to win Sunset's love is to make herself stronger—even if that means resurrecting the demon inside of her.

Get ready for some cool-ass Sunlight shipping! The fic will be out this week, just in time for Legends of Everfree... and just in time for the Sunset Shipping Project!

If you haven't heard, the Sunset Shipping Project is the culmination of months of effort by three different authors: Oroboro, (author of Fractured Sunlight and Love Twiangles), The Albinocorn (author of Firebird Dahlia and Long Road to Friendship) and myself to bring a fucking smörgåsbord of Sunset Shimmer shipfics to FiM. After all, who doesn't love reading fics about Best Human falling in love with, like, everyone?

So far, the plan is as such:
Over the next week, Oroboro will be releasing one Sunset shipfic every day. Each fic will ship Sunset with a different member of the Humane 6, all leading up to a surprise fic on Sunday... which I promise you will be quite the doozy. In fact, Oro's first fic is already out!

When Applejack needs an extra hand around the farm during harvest season, Sunset Shimmer is the only one of the girls who has time to help.

During the long hours of work and play, they grow closer, learn more about each other, and discover what family means to each of them.

I served as editor for most of these new stories, and I can promise you that if you liked Oroboro's past fics, you'll love these new ones.

Nextly: The Albinocorn is releasing two new fics! The first is a oneshot entitled Anamnesis, to be released sometime this week, and the second is the long-awaited sequel to Long Road of Friendship: Spectacular Seven. That'll be coming out (probably!) next Sunday.

And as for me, uh... scroll up? :twilightblush:
I really kinda wish I had gotten another fic done for this, but considering that I didn't even finish Nightmare until about three days ago, maybe it's for the best. As it stands, though, Nightmare is 15,000 words long, separated into three chapters, which is more than enough for one week, yeah? The last small edits are being put on it right now, and it'll be released by the end of the week.

So, there's a new chapter of Aria Blaze out today, bringing the fic up to its ninth chapter. We've only got three more chapters out of this, so enjoy it while it lasts!

I wanna give a big thank you, by the way, to all the peeps that have been reading every week. This fic didn't really get the reaction I was hoping for, so I seriously appreciate all of you willing to give it a chance. I hope you're enjoying it.

RIP in Peas Sonata

On a more personal note...

I'm moving to England! Not permanently, mind you—only for a few months. Still, it's a new place and a new time zone, so I'm excited. On Friday night, I'll be flying to London to begin my trip! I'm going to be studying at Bath Spa University until December.

But for the rest of the week, you'll find me at home, stressing over packing and making sure I have all the right documents for immigration and trying to learn how to drink tea without looking like a dick. Anyone got any tips on how to not look like a dumb American? And before you suggest it, don't worry: I've only packed, like, 9% of my guns, and I'm using makeup to cover up the red-white-blue bald eagle tattoo on my chest.

Wish me luck on my flight! If I start using words like 'colour,' 'favourite,' or 'crumpets,' now you'll know what happened to me.

Love you all! Be safe and ship on, my friends!

NOW KISS

Best of luck in England!

Just remember to say "pip, pip, cheerio" a lot as you're making up Cockney rhyming slang about your mushy peas.

And remember that the English call ponies "Irish horses." [1]

[1] Not really, and this will probably get you beaten up at the football clubs

Whoa, nice! I'm pretty sure the right way to drink tea over there is such that it does not land in the face of your waiter. That's a big change from how we do things in the States, I know :raritywink:

Also:
- Eggplant is pronounced "obber-gin", and whenever that word is said a Frenchman suffers a minor stroke.
- You're not allowed to come back without having tried a cornish pasty. Just be forewarned that you get into Cornwall for free, but have to pay a toll to get out.
- If your credit limit is high enough, venture across the water and buy yourself a Sherman tank

Do I gotta drive the tank on the left side of the road? :applecry:

Contrary to popular belief, you do not extend your :pinkiehappy: while sipping. It's seen as a mocking gesture.

Holy schnikies, good luck with your move!

When you're driving a tank, I'm pretty sure 'the road' is whatever you want it to be, and the same goes for right of way :rainbowwild:
