Anyone got any advice for insomnia issues? · 3:16pm Sep 13th, 2016
Okay, for a while now I've been having on and off insomnia issues. I don't like to admit it as I find it somewhat embarrassing to tell you guys, but I'm getting desperate here. I've tried practically everything, from drinking warm milk and taking sleeping medication to just watching relaxing videos of coral fish on YouTube. This stuff either works or it doesn't. Last night, it didn't and I woke up at 7:40 A.M and didn't get back to sleep. Any advice guys?
Don't be embarrassed about it, I see a lot of people here suffering from the same issue time to times. Myself included.
What I can advice you is
1. Do you sleep better in a hot or cold room.
2. Does eating right before going to sleep helps you or hinders you.
3. Are you more of a morning bird or a night owl. If the former cut all sources of light. If the latter stare at a bright screen until you feel sleepy.
Extra advice if you are of age: try a glass or two of alcohol.
Hope this does help you.
Eat tons of sugar. You'll pass out eventually.
4208039 I seem to sleep better in a cooler room, (Floridian here, so a cool house is always nice.) But I haven't tried the eating bit yet, so maybe I'll try that along with a combination of the things I've already tried. I've got a appointment with a sleep therapist coming up later this week, so maybe he'll be able to help as well.
Sleep on the edge of your bed, you'll soon....drop off!
