Firimil's aka Nova Quill has done it again and made more art!!! Give her a fav cause these are great!
This is something Zervziel requested... his basic premise was "a kelpie meeting Flurry Heart." and Firimil made well... Flurry Heart playing with Ebb Flow.

She also did this, a colored picture of Chamelia, and an uncolored one as well. Which gives me the opportunity... to explain a little of Chamelia's backstory.
This one is of Queen Chamelia, Chrysalis's, Alternia's, Simulacris's and Belladonna's mom. Arguably one of the most terrifyingly powerful Changeling Queens ever to have existed.
Chrysalis: Very much so. I mean she'd probably run away from Tethys, but I think even Celestia would be worried about her.
vren55: Oh hi Chrysalis. Can you elaborate?
Chrysalis: Gladly. Mom had a number of titles that all changelings knew her for. While she was younger, she was known as the Shadow of the Everfree Hive. This wouldn't be particularly shocking, except mom wasn't the oldest of Zagara's daughters... whom for the life of me I can't seem to remember. She was in fact known as the Youngest Daughter of the Great Hive Mother Zagara.
Sometime after the Changeling Civil War, more commonly known as the Unspeakable Times (see vren55's earlier blogpost), she gained the title of The Indomitable after leading the vanguard of Zagara's army to victory in the final battle near Ghastly Gorge. Kagura's mom, Queen Thera did momentarily give mom trouble, but not too much.
Then, not too long after, when the Great Hive Mothers died, mom became the Head of the Queens Council . It was an unofficial position of course, but nobody could refuse her. She was too powerful. Records estimate that the hive was at about ten thousand changelings strong. It was essentially a super hive unlike anything that we've ever seen today and since.
vren55: Wait, where did all those changelings go then?
Chrysalis:The changelings were spread across a number of large outposts throughout Equestria and the known world. When I bolloxed everything up, the link my mother established with her changelings left them leaderless. I incorporated most of them into my hive, but according to Belladonna, the rest found her.
Continuing on, mom also was known as the Queen of a Thousand Faces. Apparently she's been personally keeping tabs and infiltrating Equestria for most of her life, infiltrating in and out for missions that went on about 5 months at at time. According to her diary, she pretended to be... well every job ever. Farming, soldiering, fashion, cooking... she even infiltrated the Castle of the Two Pony sisters and pretended to be a noble there for a while as she observed the Alicorn princesses. Mom had an odd interest in the ponies that frankly, only makes sense to me now that Equestria is now a world power.
What really scares me is that my mom also had a title that... frankly makes me shiver. One reason she became leader of the Queens Council was that she was the Keeper of a Hundred Unspeakable Secrets. Essentially, she had dirt... lots of dirt.... on every single member of the Queens Council. Blackmail that really helped my hive to survive in those early years, and I'm not sure that I discovered all the secrets she hid. Her notes indicate that she took some secrets to the grave and some were just so terrifying, she daren't not put it in writing.
One rather interesting title mom also had was The Puppeteer that Needs No Strings. This mainly came from how she, with the help of Queen Kagura's mother Queen Thera, manipulated the three pony tribe leaders to meet in the same cave, thereby assisting in founding Equestria. I have also heard that mom was rather... adept at outmaneuvering her foes without having to even commit forces or even try to intimidate them.
These numerous examples were all why by the time my sisters and I were born, Chamelia was known as The Great. She sortof became the Sir Farrier's Drake of the changeling world, of all changeling queens. The queen who started off as the youngest daughter, but worked her way up to the position of Leader of the Queen's Council.
To a few though, my mother is known as The Merciful. The current leader of the Queen's Council, Queen Sarar for one, is particularly indebted to my mother. Apparently, Sarar thought she could usurp Chamelia out of some youthful ambition at one point. Mom knew all about it though, but after completely foiling Sarar's attempt, she spared Sarar and turned her into a staunch ally and friend. Queen Kagura, Sarar's mate in all but name and her second in command is also indebted to Chamelia. Her mother was Queen Thera, who was the daughter of the changeling traitor, The Great Hive Mother Atracina. From what Kagura has told me, mom was integral to helping Kagura's mom recover from a lifetime of abuse at the hooves of Atracina.
Frankly, I and Alternia both like the title Chamelia the Merciful, the best.

Alternia and Harlequin having a romantic moment (feel free to ask for more details). (Can be easy or difficult)
Alternia juggling her toddler/baby daughters (this should be easy)
Chamelia, Alternia, Chrysalis, Simulacris and Belladonna. Make it anything with all four of them in (as babies or whatever is easier) and make it heartbreaking... heck, they can all be meeting in heaven if you want. THis is fairly complicated so don't bother if you dont want, its just throwing out ideas.

Heh, well, most of those would be pretty easy, save for Simulacris, Belladonna, Chrysalis and Alternia as heartbreaking... ooooh, you know what, nevermind I think I have an idea. But yeah, most if those would be pretty simple. I'll churn them out as I can.
On an aside note, you do remember that changeling babies are grubs, right? The eldest would likely be about the equivalent of a four or five year old if I gauged the age difference right if the youngest was a newborn, yeah?

Ooh, I actually missed Chamelia's name in the first read through.... that gives me another idea entirely then. Just to be sure, Alternia has blue, Simulacris is purple and Belladonna is red, right?

Also, you mentioning a drawing with all four Queen in a heartbreaking setting made me think of a scene.
I imagined all four sisters standing before their mother grave with Alternia and Chrysalis hugging each other and openly crying (both for different reasons...) while Simulacris and Belladonna look on with a solemn expression (and tears in their eyes)
