9/11 · 2:05am Sep 12th, 2016

Fifteen years later. I can't believe it's been that long. Of course, I have very little memory of 9/11, only stories from my mom. I was about three or four at the time, and my mom was tying my shoes and getting me ready for daycare when the news broke in Kentucky. It was a very devastating day, but it was also a day when so many people came together.

We'll never forget.

I hope you have a good day, guys.

Also, something light (or not). I ate a weird hot dog bun at the church barbecue and threw up next to a nearby tree. My tongue is sensitive :pinkiesick: It was hilariously mortifying because policemen and firemen were also there because of the 9/11 ceremony :facehoof:

A little girl ran up to me and was like "Are you OKAY???"

Sigh, I love kids :rainbowlaugh:

Have a great day guys, heads high today. I love you a lot.

Let this day never be forgotten.

As a New Yorker, my heart is heavy because of this tragedy, but
static.comicvine.com/uploads/scale_super/14/149660/2865824-Freedom_Tower_1.jpg
this 1,776 feet building is a reminder that we are strong

I was in New York when that happened. My brother caught the second plane crash on film.

Hope you're feeling better, Summer.

I was still in the Air Force the morning of September 11, 2001. I had just walked back to my shop after helping some of the airmen that worked for me solve a problem on a job. One of they said that a plane had hit one of the Twin Towers. Someone turned on the television in our break room and came running outside yelling that one of the towers had collapsed. We all ran in and watched, trying to make sense of it. The second tower collapsed...we were all just too stunned to speak. We spent many long days on alert after that event. So many people I knew were sent to support the fight over those next few years. I never had a chance to go with them, try as I might.

It was a sad and empty day for so many of us.

9/11...I wish we could forget, simply because of how politicians have twisted and abused the memory of this day ever since. :pinkiesick: The importance should always be on the lives lost and the sacrifices, never on anything else.

To the other thing: Weird as in it had that white mold stuff on it that you don't realize is mold until it's too late? A few months back I ran into a loaf of bread like that, thought it was artisan flour. By the time I realized it was mold it was a half a loaf of bread and five days of excruciating stomach cramps and diarrhea later. :raritycry:

Agreed. LONG LIVE AMERICA!!!

And eww. Weird hot dogs:applejackconfused:

God bless all 9\11 victims

I was a sophomore in High school. It didn't really sink in until we saw the second plane hit a bit after 9am. Nobody was really focusing on school.

The refugee families were all really scared because they thought it was their old government coming to take them back.

Parents showed up at my mom's school in tears because they thought the world was ending.

4206080 is that an actual office building or is it a museum?

4206169 It's the One World Trade Center and a tourist attraction

4206185 I see. Thanks.

Sadly in a way we did forget.

A special thanks to our British cousins.

I know I'm a day late but I just want to say God bless those people who lost their lives and God blessamerica:fluttercry:.

I haven't forgotten, though with time the memories have become hazy. I remember it being a day when I was in fourth-grade. Recess was cancelled - on a sunny day, mind you - and while I don't remember the reasons they gave, I can still remember coming home and seeing the events of the day on the little TV we had in the kitchen.

I love you a lot.

Awww! :pinkiehappy:

4206881 Amen to that!

I know I'm a day late

Yeah, me too. I think I missed this or something.

I do not remember anything of this, I was like three years old. My mom woke up to me crying and she felted like something awful happened so she turned on the TV and saw the twin towers burning on the news. And the thing is that it was right before her birthday and it wasn't a very pleasant day.

Let us never forget who we really are. We're Americans, loud and proud.:rainbowdetermined2: I remember my mom checking me out from Kindergarten and taking me home when the attacks on the towers happened; I can still remember just seeing the burning twin towers on TV.:ajsleepy::pinkiesad2: I only lived an hour from NYC at the time.
