Day 5: Growth Stages · 1:08pm Sep 5th, 2016
Throughout the span of the show, we are slowly introduced to several growth stages of a pony. But with each season, certain changes to the animation assets cause differing results. First example of this are the baby forms.
When we first see Pound and Pumpkin Cake, we see them with their eye colors and one highlight. This has been the norm for them as long as the powers that be haven’t changed them.
Then we come to these famous examples. The same shape, but with black eyes. No doubt a result to save time.
Then came this. First introduced in “The One Where Pinkie Knows,” this form shows the baby with complete pony eyes, pupil through highlight. But even then, Pound and Pumpkin still have their usual eyes for now.
So, what’s the growth stages of a pony, (at least for the Jongojiverse)?
Really, Very Young.
Baby
Toddler (Note, in my Headcanon, Pipsqueak is the same age as the Crusaders and most of my OCs; he’s just from a family where small statures are dominant).
Elementary-Preteen
Teenagers
Adults.
