COMMENTARY: Oh boy . . . · 11:02pm Sep 4th, 2016

Nickelodeon has a new show out, something called the Loud House. If I'm to believe various sources, this cartoon about the only 11-year old boy in a house full of 11 kids is apparently a favourite of a fellow FIMFiction user and has become Nickelodeon's biggest runaway new hit since SpongeBob SquarePants.

Of course, there had to be one moment in the show's run that just has to openly anger the most sacred of Anita Bryant's cows. On Wednesday, July 20, at 5PM eastern/pacific time, they found it: Yep, it was on that fateful day on which it was revealed that this kid had TWO, count 'em TWO, daddies!

TIME magazine said that this moment thrilled a lot of people. Of course it did, unless it happened to be those same old Christian fundamentalists we keep seeing now and again. Everybody: Oh THOSE FOLKS.

We'll start with remarks made by One Million Moms on the matter. I can recall a time when the American Family Association off-shoot took the most recent television network effort from the Muppets and used it to openly stain on the legacy of the one and only Jim Henson.

Alerting all parents! Nickelodeon Kid's Network plans to feature a family with two dads in the animated show "The Loud House." The series, which centers around the life of Lincoln Loud and his ten sisters, will be the first Nickelodeon show in history to feature a married same-sex couple. The gay couple will make their debut on Wednesday, July 20, at 5:00 p.m. ET/ 4:00 p.m. CT during the episode "Overnight Success." The married gay couple is revealed while dropping off their child Clyde at the Loud residence for a slumber party.

Unfortunately, children are now being exposed to same-sex marriage on a network that is designed for kids. Just because something may be legal or because some are choosing a lifestyle doesn't make it morally correct. Nickelodeon should stick to entertaining instead of pushing an agenda. Nickelodeon has decided to be politically correct instead of providing family-friendly programming.

Yes, a network designed for kids has exposed us to a gay couple. Kind of like how it exposed us to things such as Jewish holidays (a topic that appears in certain segments on some Nick Jr. shows and once even got two episodes' worth on Nickelodeon itself), and the loss of a loved one, the latter of which it also chronicled in a theatrically-released Paramount Picture.

This sounds peculiar coming from anyone's tongue, but the second paragraph proved that, if it took them, the group abbreviated as 1MM would probably also consider those things morally incorrect.

And for the record, we found NO evidence of the orange channel ever identifying itself as ''Nickelodeon Kid's Network.'' It was always ever known as ''Nickelodeon''.

Conservative families need to urge Nickelodeon to avoid controversial topics that children are far too young to comprehend.

Like that's ever gonna happen.

In my dutiful honor, I hereby send this message onto the American Family Association. If you're involved with or otherwise have ties to that organization, read carefully:

LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE! LEAVE NICK ALONE!

I walk out of the door and slam it shut.

Good God....conservatives!:facehoof:

Edit: I've seen that episode and I for one applaude Nickelodeon for having the balls to do that, even though the episode revolved around Lincoln and Clyde having a sleepover. Not too many channels can do that like Disney Channel did it with this episode of Good Luck Charlie or Freeform with this tv show
