Time to explain. (Censored blog) · 1:52am Sep 4th, 2016

In short detail, as the comments on the other video with the song in it read, many have seriously had the nerve to interpret this 1972 song (Epic 5-10891) more as a song about a child molester and a pedophile than a song about someone regaining the innocence of childhood. (and, did we mention a certain Ray Conniff did this one?) The truth simply points to the latter; the guy spends almost NONE of the song's running time telling us all about how he'd like to jam that dick in make whoopee with that 7-year-old princess, for example.

A notable trait this record had (which the more dirty-minded listeners failed to get) is that it took FOREVER to hit the charts. Epic put the record out in July 1972; it didn't chart on Billboard until March 24, 1973; it was on the Hot 100 for 23 straight weeks, peaking at #2. It was an even bigger hit in Canada (where a selective number of my followers are from, namely Shine and Dr Aqua light); it topped their RPM charts.

(Title changed because I modified the blog so that it would be squeaky-clean - I modified a portion of the first paragraph so as not to make it sound too sexually explicit for my audience.)
