Brief Update · 2:42am Sep 2nd, 2016
A brief update, on the situation of things.
First of all, I'm moving into my Freshman college dorm tomorrow morning. Thus, I'll probably disappear to varying degrees for a few weeks. No updates for any stories, obviously, but I'll try and get back to work as soon as possible, provided college doesn't suck me into a pit of despair right off the bat.
Second of all, that's about it.
Thanks. Hope everyone has a good few. Wish me luck.
If I could offer a bit of advice to you about college:
Make sure you actually study.
High School is designed so that as long as you attend you can pass. College, not so much. You can go to 100% of your lectures and do all the work but exam time comes and you don't study you can still bomb.
Take notes then go back to your dorm, type them up, print them out and put them in a binder. Perfect study material and gives you a great chance to learn it again while typing.
Other than that, have a great semester!
4186511 Oh no.
I'm not very good at studying.
Guess I'll have to look into a tutor, or something.
Anyways, thanks for the advice. It's something we're always told, before we even apply to college, but I'm afraid not many people take that advice seriously enough until they're chin deep in mad cow manure.
I've hopefully given myself enough breathing room the first semester, with a set of relaxed, good courses that can ease me into college before I fully delve into it, but sometimes I just get irrationally worried.
Eh. I'll just roll with the punches.
I wish ye luck lad. Take your time with your studies, we will all be here when you return.
Have fun, just don't disappear you hear?
4209369 I'm trying to stay as active as possible, what with my college schedule and all. It hasn't been too bad so far, but it's only the second week of classes.
4209424 Like I said, a lot of the best authors said "I have college" and then disappeared off the site for the better part of 4 years. So, just don't go into obscurity.
