I found in the first chapter an outstanding example of what the so often neglected hate sex can and should be, both in public and private; having it narrated by a voyeur (if my English is correct) even made it that much better. The epilogue left me eager for more, and, being one of these people who look for plots and character depth even in clop, took my hopes up for some backstory or something else complementary to bare lovemaking.
Or it could just be sex, and it would work regardless.
