Dungeons and Discord: My Thoughts (Spoilers)

Oh, Dungeons and Discord. I've been waiting since the Cutie Map (Markless?) to see what Spike and Big Mac do when Twilight's not around. And this did not disappoint. Of course, the episode was fantastic thanks in no small part to the presence of the Spirit of Chaos himself: Discord. Also, his reference humor gets better with every single episode he has. There were two things in this episode that struck me. First was the setting. It's a guys night, which isn't exactly something the target demographic of little girls (who, at that age, think boys are cancer) would enjoy. This gives the impression that this episode was written more for the bronies than anything else. Another thing was the distinct lack of a moral, probably for the same reason; grown ups don't really need the moral as much. That, or they couldn't think of a good way to insert a moral, which I do not fault the writers for.

Lastly, the second chapter of New Beginnings is in the prereading stage! That will be released some time next week. You may also notice that I updated the story tag to 'Mature' because I may have started writing clop. Stay tuned!
