Thoughts on the Last Couple Episodes

*sniff sniff*

You smell that?

It's the smell of justice!

Spike is finally getting some love. The last two episodes were probably two of my faves since I began watching the season. Not only is Spike acting a little more mature and intelligently, but he's also standing up for himself, getting songs and making friends on his own without the help of the mane 6.

This is a major distinction of great proportion compared to his past representations.

I'm so happy.

What did you guys think about Spike's more recent portrayals?

Pretty good, is it just me or is this season the season of Spike with how many good episodes it's given him?

Wouldn't know; haven't seen them yet. Will have to chase my parents out of the house again before I can watch it properly (on a TV screen instead of a laptop).

Looking forward to it, though. Spike is an interesting character, and he has room for interesting stories. They should tell those sometime.

This is the year of the dragon!

I am really liking his portrayal in this season. I hope when Thorax goes to the Changeling Kingdom, something goes wrong and Spike is forced to travel far away to the kingdom to help, or Thorax would feel better if Spike was with him when going to the Changeling Kingdom to preach about friendship.

Just something to get Spike away from the mane 6 and do something on his own. Although I can see Twilight joining him (even if he doesn't know it) like in the episode "The Gauntlet of Fire".
