Same guy who did Saddle Row Review. Good thing he has such a high intelligence and charisma, because this guy is a fucking bard of the highest caliber. I mean damn.
I really am starting to wonder where these scripts are coming from, though. It's getting harder to ignore somepony who was... missing. Somepony else who in theory lived in the castle, and probably would have at least noticed if an alternate dimension full of nerd things just popped up in the main hall. It's like they found some awesome episode ideas from seasons 4 and 5 and just decided to write em up regardless.
It's really, really nice to see another episode I enjoy without reservation. Don't get me wrong, I still adore the show, but it was inevitable that as it progressed through so many seasons they were going to make decisions that some fans disagreed with. This has all of the things I love, and none of the things I have mixed feelings about.

Starlight knew exactly what was going on. She just never was really into tabletop RPG's ever since she tried to run one in Our Town...

Rainbow Dash the rogue...
The funny thing is that in my 3rd campaign ever I am a rogue for the first time.
Through character building I discovered that Dash the rogue would literally get into a fight every time she walks in a tavern.
She has no damn charisma. She is a full dex based character.
Granted my rogue is going to be obsessed with knowledge to the point that he will be driven insane... it's funny to imagine dash as a rogue.

All the same, they are the ones making those decisions so I'm more inclined to just accept them, since they are the people working on the show and I'm not. This is probably sounding like the same thing I usually end up saying, but there we are.
I would also presume you mean Starlight by "somepony who was... missing." Who's to say she might've been still in the castle when it all happened, though? Maybe she was with Sunburst on a rare visit that had nothing to do with blizzards, changelings or that jazz, only it was neglected for mentioning?
4182946 Eh, I was just glad she wasn't inserted in for no reason. Mac and Spike were literally having a guys' night, the six were invited because they made first contact with Yakistan, and we had enough former-villian with Discord around. The decision I refer to was making Starlight a semi-permanent fixture. She could have easily helped the ponies of Our Town, making friends with them and sending back letters on occasion.
