AUGUSTA, MAINE (J.C.) - Maine Governor Paul LePage has left a profanity-laced voicemail for a lawmaker in Westbrook. Dr. Drew Gattine was critical of the Governor's statement that blacks and Hispanics comprised a majority of out-of-state drug dealers. Mr. Gattine says that Mr. LePage's comments were not helping to fight the heroin epidemic. Mr. Gattine told The Associated Press that Mr. LePage sounded unhinged in the voicemail, which has now been released. In the voicemail, Maine's sitting governor said he wanted to talk with Mr. Gattine about the legislator calling him a racist, a claim that the legislator denies ever having made.
