Writing is happening, however, a change of plans

Hiii, so, I'm still not exactly sure what warrants a blog post, but I think this does.
    So here it is!

My main story (henceforth referred to as "Vigil's story") that I talked about last time is still in the works, and as I kind of keep saying semi-humorously: writing is hard.

    Going forward.

Because I do have plans to continue writing. The Sun's End was only the beginning.

Previously, I talked about doing short stories as practice, so I can get used to writing in general, and build a steady pace. While this is a fine idea, there's just a problem: I don't have many different ideas to write short stories about.

About The Sun's End and other musings

Or how I need to practice writing more before I try something like this again.

    Writing is hard.

Go on below if you've read my story. If not, well, spoilers are abound.

Hiii, so, I'm still not exactly sure what warrants a blog post, but I think this does.
So here it is!

My main story (henceforth referred to as "Vigil's story") that I talked about last time is still in the works, and as I kind of keep saying semi-humorously: writing is hard.
I've been writing, that's for sure, though I had hoped to make more progress, but, since writing is hard, that was quite a challenge. I'm still writing it, but I think what I'll do instead is keep writing it until I've built a good enough pace with it for myself before I think about starting to publish it. I hope that, by writing a good part of the story before publishing, I can have a 'better' story overall.

This means plan b is in effect.

I recently published a little humor story: A Touch of the Contrary, in which I shamelessly placed an OC of mine in the Quill & Blade universe by Anzel and Crystal Wishes (whom I totally adore, btw. They're cool.)

This came forth from an idea I had one day, which was really just "These two characters have a conversation" and then I ended up writing it until completion in a week. Which, for me, is pretty good, considering I took four months writing The Sun's End.

Hurray for improvement! I got myself a cookie for finishing it. It was delicious.

But that is basically what I'm planning on doing now. Continue writing Vigil's story, and when I come up with ideas for a one-shot, write that and publish it.

I won't leave you with nothing! So here's a coverart for Vigil's story, an amazing piece drawn by whit3-dr4g0n.

(A Touch of the Contrary will also get a coverart... soon-ish)
