I know I haven't posted very much in a little while, and I'm sorry.
Less than a week after our puppy was hit, an older cat vanished. We think he got killed by a coyote or something, but we're still hopeful. Then a little while after that, I found out that my great-grandfather died via a grammatically incorrect facebook post. I told my mom, and she didn't know either. We haven't even gone to the funeral yet, so the last little while has sucked.
I've had an idea for a new WG fic, though. I'm talking about it to PhealGud already, and probably a few more of my mutuals soon. But I thought I'd get a few suggestions from other people who are interested. I've recently finished reading Fallout Equestria by Kkat, which is amazing btw, and I had an idea.
In the regular Fallout universe fandom there are rumours of a Vault that was supposed to be an experiment about how food, soda, etc impacted a controlled population. Obviously, I think this story is one that should be written. So if anyone's interested and has ideas, please let me know.
Hopefully the next chapters of Captured, Marjoram, and Exploring will be out son.
Good idea. A similar fic to what you're proposing is Fallout Equestria: Broken Scale. It's pretty good, but hasn't been updated in over a year. Looking forward to this. Hope your personal issues are resolved.

It's similar, but I hope it'll turn out different. I've read Broken Scale, and I really enjoyed it. I hope I can make a similar idea into something very different while still being enjoyable.
Sorry to hear about your granfather and the cat. I am interested in the fallout story since I like the world of it and exploring the vaults. But I haven't read fallout equstria yet. Planning to but I just haven't yet.
Ideas with your story
Since it would have to do with testing would be interesting to see twilight over seeing the test. Maybe as a on looker out side looking in, or is taking part in the test as well as she watches from inside the vault. Seeing the effects of the test on her friends and others. Reporting back to Celestia about the test. Not wanting to fail Celestia, Twilight does everything she can to make the test successful.
With the mane six in could explore the things that they are doing while living in the vualt. Rarity making the suits for the inhabitants. Applejack trying to do some farming if able. While pinky is busy preparing food for ponies.
Rainbow trying to stay fit in the vualt. But as she and other ponies consumes more of the food and drink they become more and more lazy with the work out. Tell eventually the workouts are replaced with eating.
Fluttershy upset that animals wasn't able to come into the vualt. Except angel bunny( not sure if animals where brought into the vualts that often). This leads to Fluttershy eating her problems wich in return results in a bigger results from the test.
But if you don't want to use the mlp characters you could always do a o.c who is there witnessing and is experiencing the test. As it sees the effects of the test it would start to encourage it. Wanting to push for better results. But sadly don't have much more for a o.c story

I'm going with large portions of Fallout Equestria's canon, though a lot won't be covered in the story. That being said, Kkat's novel (it is massive and of novel quality) takes place over 200 years after the megaspells dropped. I'm going to start with the first ponies living in the stable, and going from there.
I hate to tell you, but the Mane 6 will not feature in the story. They may be mentioned, and their previous actions called upon, but they themselves will not be part of the story.
