It's gonna take some serious revision of my future plans, but I can make my fanon fit with the new episode.
They kept it fairly vague, about how changelings work. I'm gonna have to take some liberties in editing the new changeling's character for the sake of preserving my headcanon, but it's not so bad.

Even if your changeling stories did have their canon violated, that doesn't stop them from being awesome stories. Okay, some of the details you assumed about the changelings were a bit off, but you don't have to change all your stories on account of this one episode.

I just watched the episode at work. Your headcanon is superiour to actual canon... I choose to ignore the episode. This season reminds me of season 3 in that I wish large portions never happened.

I once made a review of your Chrysalis story, and expressed unhappiness that Chrysalis had to murder her entire swarm, and be reborn as a pony to be with Evergreen. These stories establish Changelings drain love unintentionally and kill the ponies they are draining the love from, wither they want to or not.

Huh, so changelings can sustain themselves on freely given friendship and Pony love, do not kill the friends and love ones that they freely take love from, and would have no problem turning good, and receiving love freely to keep them alive. Oh, and apparently have no sign of anything like a love spell ability or anything like that.

Seriously though, your stories are very good, and you shouldn't just give up on them just because they are AU now. You write some of the best changeling stories on this site, keep up the good work!

4161215 Acutally I think the most is Niaeruzu, his (?) whole thing is changelings, and even wrote about a character that went by the name Suncloak, and yes the name is the result of pretty much the exact same gag as in the episode. Also of note is Thorax, who has been using that name since Changelings showed up and while not his only claim to fame tends to lazily RP being an actual changeling drone, talking about how he hopes Chrysalis won't be mad and posts and other such things. he's mostly inactive these days, but for obvious reasons I felt it important to say something about him.
