I have decided to write an additional blog entry for the first chapter of "Fate must be Cruel only to the Kind" to elaborate more on the plot of it, similar like I do with every new chapter of my fic for Flurry Heart.
The fic starts out with Crackle Pop and Chirpy Hooves in Rainbow Falls. Chirpy looks forward to participate in the Applewood Derby in Ponyville for the first time in her life, but Crackle Pop is more interested in swimming in the pond near their house. After some convincing, Chirpy reluctantly follows him into the water. They play around in it a little until their mom calls them inside.....
This chapter portrays their life in Rainbow Falls, the relationship between them as brother and sister, how they get along with their parents and, most importantly, my theory about how the parents of Crackle Pop, Chirpy Hooves and Derpy could be!
Essentially, it portrays the last evening before Chirpy has to leave for Ponyville for the Applewood Derby on the next day.
There already went a lot of work into this first chapter, particularly into planning out how their parents should be, so I hope you will enjoy it!
