    An Honest Question...

Nothing I wrote had anything to do with ponies whatever.
Therefore, why would some random bystanders who somehow found my silly writings by chance want me to submit them for approval knowing there is no way it’ll happen?

    Need a title.

Alexandra finds a what looks like an old diary and begins flipping through it. Along with William, Monica, and Val went to an empty city though a sparsely populated country. Following train routes for maximum probability of encounters, they found themselves in Philly.

    Trifecta.

The whole wide world has been a mess. Speed on back to work in soul crushing environments when working at home has never been more practical than it is right now, especially for white collar. So much illness could be avoided by simply not going anywhere, as could pollution. The last two years have been an eye opener, yet I fear nothing will have been learned by the masses when it is all over, and

    Useless commentaries.

I really ought to break this unnerving habit of commenting. It never does anything useful unless annoying people is somehow useful. And I think I have made it abundantly clear I have no imagination whatever never mind creativity. Perhaps more importantly, resisting the urge to make more comments when my absence is appreciated and adds nothing, and trying Not to break this streak is

Who gets the enchilada, WL or Sky? · 12:53am Aug 16th, 2016

In my last post I wrote about a fictitious universe from the POV of one of its inhabitants who knows quite a bit more than the rest. In the story that inspired it, a couple of characters with a mysterious past caught my attention. While we never see the original lives of most of them, we encounter the lives of these two less than the rest. Not only that, they get on well from the start and have never been shown to fight. Furthermore, their friendship is stronger than all the others at nearly any point in the story. Yet, their stance on their situation are polar opposites, and both had extreme reactions to them.

Sky had not revealed her original name, and asks the others not to press her for personal info. All well and good. Yet she is clearly hiding something. She explicitly states she'd rather not talk about her original life, only that she's glad everybody she knew is gone and will not be seen again, and even more glad to abandon the place she could loosely call home, which she maybe rarely left in her previous life. For her, the vanishing and gradual reappearance of every person on earth was nothing but a blessing, and she'd often wished for some miracle to give her escape. It is eventually established she had been abused by some relatives and neglected by others. She never liked anyone because she didn't know many people, and the few she did were mean or disregarded her existence entirely, most of which likely knew about her plight. It is still never established just how she was tortured, nor do we ever get any further insight. As a direct result, she came to associate her own kind as the enemy and ponies as a good thing, a bias she would carry for the rest of her life, though it would become mild rather than strong in her later years.

WL's opinion is the opposite. Beyond her name and dream, we ultimately know even less about her, although there are inconclusive implications around her. When she turned up she was never anything except bitter to everybody she met, save one, and she had a right to be. Curiously enough, though, the one person she was never remotely mean to was the one whose opinion on man was less than stellar: Sky. She displayed nothing but contempt for the situation, and a desire for her home and family be returned, the same reaction as all the rest, only she is more actively vocal about it, has some ponies to tell it to, and takes much, much longer to adapt to it. Her adaptation to the situation is so bad, she would certainly have been dead had the others not been there to help her, even if she wasn't in a place where she'd be knocked comatose and left to drown. In spite of this, their friendship does nothing but thrive, even though no common ground should be found. All of the others initially don't hit it off so well, and spend more time bickering than cooperating, herself and Sky included with the rest. She is most definitely a mare, though there are several implications that she may have been a man before. This is never properly established, and every time the thing is brought up, it could just as easily be argued that she was a transvestite or a woman with identity issues. The only confirmation of her being a man is a spinoff story, or rather a one shot that the author does not acknowledge nor accept. In any case, she is determined to keep her human identity intact to the best of her power, above and beyond the rest, which she does mainly by doing two things: The first of these is accepting her secondary, new name as hers, but never introducing herself as such, always introducing herself by her original name, and keeping it to the end. The other involves something she does after being permanently settled. She does not like walking around au naturale, and insists on always having a dress on whenever she's not in the permanent residence she now lives in. There's a pretty obvious reason it's a dress. For one thing, Sky is a seamstress, so while she sees no need for clothes as their shape conceals the important stuff, she understands WL's sense of modesty and respects it. She has more experience with dresses than with trousers, so that's that. Also, even if it weren't for that, putting on a one piece garment which doesn't separate the legs is much simpler than one then the other, plus keeping track of the other clothing. Especially since she only has clumsy limbs to operate with. Where Sky has adapted to her new body nearly instantly, all the others stumbled and fumbled with theirs for a while before they caught on. WL included.

Hey, writer, are you going to say anything about a fractured horn?
Of course I will. Now that you mention it, anyway. I only wanted to say the important things in the comparison.
Do you writers take pleasure in causing misery?
Of course not. We only enjoy watching folks pull through hardships and inspire readers.
(sigh)
Hey, you can do worse, you know. You could be made of sentient straw in human shape, and be stuck in a world heavily populated by horses. You wouldn't like that, would you?
uhhh...
I thought not.

This purple haired mare got into an accident that left her with a disability that she has to live with for the rest of her life. She still became a great sorceress, moreover, the greatest one on Earth. She loves this sort of flattery, and has a very large ego that needs to be stoked. Sky likes to play jokes on her best friend, and they frequently involves swiping and hiding her dresses, or defacing them in some way. Since she doesn't wear them, getting back at her requires tact of some sort.

(giggling)
Is something funny?
Nothing, nothing at all.
Alright. Sexy here just got herself knocked again, for the seventeenth time already, and she doesn't seem to have any desire to stop. She just can't get enough.
Can we talk about something else? Populating the world is not the sole purpose of living.
True, right you are. WL's greatest joy in life, past giving returnee's instructions on levitation is spending time with her son, Nate. He's her firstborn. She has two other children. A daughter named Angela and another named Antonia. She is deeply and passionately in love with her husband, and believes giving him kids is her best accomplishment in life. She does not think herself responsible to repopulate the world, she believes procreation to be a miracle that should be praised. But she also believes in controlled, manageable families. Sky never wants to stop, and does not believe in loyalty to guys. WL's stance is the exception rather than the norm.

So there you have it. Who do you like more? Who is more liable to occupy your thoughts? Be generous and leave a comment.
I always had a preference for men, a liking and wanting for men. I was always something of a pragmatist, and am the most practical minded of our bunch.
Oh, dear. There she goes tooting her horn again.
