The author: I am positive Rainbow Dash cannot possibly actually carry another pony. It’s certainly never shown in any episode I can recall. So, no, it’s not unreasonable for Rose to reject Daring’s offer to just fly her over a gorge.

I can’t decide which of the two of them would be better at getting into or out of scraps. Rainbow Dash would fight to defend her friends (she’s loyal AF) but then Applejack wouldn’t hesitate to fight to defend herself (she’s hard AF.) Then again, they get into scraps with each other all the time, and there’s never really a winner, per se. Maybe it’d be an even fight?
Not that I’d purposely write Rainbow Dash and Applejack getting into a fight with each other just to see who’d win. That’d be literary masturbation. Please.
I’m actually really excited to get in a little brawling. There’s going to be more martial combat in this story as it gets more and more dangerous.

Twilight’s gone and made more ponies. It looks like she’s managed to make them walk and talk, which is good. And before you complain, her NPCs would walk around in circles and have repetitious conversations not because that’s the best she can do but because she recognizes that that’s how it has to be.
How long did she hold her breath while in Cairo’s body, do you think?
