I'm Back! And No One Noticed I Was Gone · 4:47am Aug 15th, 2016
So I just came back from volunteering at this place called Camp Barnabas on Friday. It took me a few days to write this cause of laziness and last minute Summer homework. So anyway I spent a week clearing tables, doing dishes, serving said tables, cleaning bathrooms, getting 3 to 4 less hours of sleep as normal and pretending to die when a specific kid dabbed in my direction.
It was one of the best--if not THE best--weeks of my Summer.
For those of you who don't know(all 100% of the one person that will read this) Camp Barnabas is a beautiful camp specifically for the disabled population. The camp isn't beautiful because of the volunteers or the scenery or even the air conditioning. Its because of the campers who seem to have so little, but are so, so much happier than your average dude/dudett.
These campers spend 51 weeks every year being invisible or ridiculed or pitied. Many of them can't even go out to dinner with their parents because they'll be kick out for being too loud. Then they have 1 where complete strangers love them and help them have the best week of their lives. This was my sixth time volunteering at camp, and I fall in love with it a little more. I got home 2 days ago. And I'm already feeling homesick for my second home.

Huh, interesting!
I have more than the predicted 1 view! My life is a success.
