Wowzers.
I normally don't keep track of the number of people watching my stuff, but that's really awesome. Thanks everyone for all the watches
So, to those new to my page:
I've been writing for 17 years. I enjoy writing MLP fan fiction in particular because, it's sometimes about playing with themes and characters. The characters and their interactions (especially in the earlier seasons) are designed in a way that they can be explored and played with... what would happen if I changed this, or that. I find it a lot of fun to play around with and bounce each character's energy off each other and see what happens.
I'm a big fan of children's programming. While I think MLP's gone a bit downhill overtime, I still find it an enjoyable series. The ideas are still fresh and it manages to have episodes where the character discovers the moral organically, sometimes it's brought about through their own actions (or lack thereof). When you can relate to the characters, even if the plot's predictable as can be, you know something's' been done right.
Some of the themes I enjoy toying with might be a tad dark, but generally the stories have a pretty happy ending and themes about coming together to triumph over adversity, usually adversity in a form the characters were never designed to face. Again it's fun to see what happens. Anything I write I generally look at as an exercise and am open to constructive criticism.
Things I will not write:
1. Bad language in MLP. I don't even like using the word hell because it creates a weird scenario and doesn't mesh well in the MLP Universe.
2. Foalcon. More specifically stories centering around pornographic themes involving foalcon. While I have stories about characters being abused, and characters growing up to find their bodies changing, the focus is on them not understanding what's going on and creating awkward/horrible scenarios.
So not really a whole lot I won't cover, lol. New stories will pop up as I get to them, and I create what I'm driven to at the time. I spend a good amount of time writing and editing, and while I'll admit my stuff is not perfect, this site has been tremendous in feedback and getting me back into the groove of creativity.
My hobbies are video games, martial arts, writing, studying, music and exercise. I'm a secular humanist and realist. I hate people but love individuals, and generally have a fairly optimistic attitude towards others, though I feel I might know too many defeated idealists. Because of a few birth defects and neurological issues I've had since an early age, my health isn't always the greatest, but I work a full-time job and spend a great deal of time working on my weaknesses... so that, to paraphrase a line from Michael Angelo Batio, my strengths become even stronger. However, because of this, there may be stretches where I don't update for a while.
Hope everyone's groovy.
Peace
