I don't read the comics. I've heard there are some good ones, so I've been meaning to fix that, but at the moment, I have only read a couple: the first two issues of the Chrysalis Arc, (I wasn't a fan) the Fall Of Sunset Shimmer comic, (Which I quite liked) and the Sirens' Fiendship Is Magic issue. (Which was pretty awful)
It was partially because of that last one that I wanted to write this - my take on the Sirens' banishment. The other reason is because of a story I may not write. You see, after I eventually finished The Atlantis Scenario up, I was planning to try to do a rewrite of Equestria Girls as well, under the title "Green-Eyed Monster". This would have been a prologue to that, to show how the mirror was created - but since it is ultimately not that relevant to the overall plot, I decided to write this as a standalone piece instead. And besides, I've decided that after TAS, I'm going to turn my attention to a prequel story centering on Princess Cadence, and I may not get around to GEM at all.
Of course, this story shares one seeming flaw with the Fiendship Is Magic comic - that the Dazzlings emerge in the present day, not a thousand years ago. But that's where headcanon and heavy abuse of time dilation comes in!
-First off, I'm completely ignoring the idea of the 'thirty moons' thing in this universe. The mirror can only be activated by somepony with the right magical skills - Starswirl, Sunset, or Twilight, in this case.
-Passing through the mirror resynchs the time of the two universes. Until then, they flow seperately, and quickly desynch again afterwards.
-For every month (since the last synch) that passes in the human world, the time passing in Equestria doubles exponentially.
-Nobody passed through the mirror between the Sirens’ banishment and Sunset Shimmer leaving.
-The age offset is still in effect; someone from Equestria is four years younger in the Human world; someone from the Human world is four years older in Equestria.
Equestria: Human
1000 Years: 15 Months
500 Years: 14 Months
250 Years: 13 Months
125 Years: 12 Months
62 Years & 6 Months: 11 Months
31 Years & 3 Months: 10 Months
15 Years & 7.5 Months: 9 Months
7 Years & 9.75 Months: 8 Months
Ect.
+Thus, the Sirens spent a year and a quarter in the human world while time in Equestria passed.
+Sunset spent another seven months in the Human world before stealing Twilight's crown
+The Sirens were about 20 years old in Equestria; with the age offset they were turned 16, and with the intervening time that has passed since, they are now 18 (and would be 22 if they returned to Equestria)
+Sunset was 21 when she left, and is now 18
+Twilight was 14 when Sunset left, and is presently 21 in Equestria, and 17 in the human world
So yeah, that.
Nice. Now solve the mystery of where the human Sunset Shimmer is. XD

Ugh. Thee are many reasons to hate that comic, and the ending is certainly near the top of the list. So much potential squandered... I commend you for even bothering to accommodate it, especially since I usually don't.
