Hawaiian lore and the Alola region, and possibly beyond

This a blog for talking about stuff for Pokemon Sun and Moon that could potentially tie into, or be inspired by, Hawaiian lore. I've talked about this on some other blogs, and will only briefly mention it here, but it's possible Rowlet and Popplio could tie into Hawaiian lore regarding owls (rowlet) and the Hawaiian Monk Seal (popplio). However, there are potential pokemon that are yet to be confirmed, that could also make appearances into games that tie into Sun and Moon, who's to say the confirmed pokemon in Sun and Moon will be the only pokemon for the Alola region, for all we know an extension onto Sun and Moon, which I've heard some fans are already speculating about and referring to as "Eclipse", could introduce more pokemon to the Alola region. Heck, a main platform tie-in could have us going around on different islands in the archipelago that is the Alola region with a whole new set of pokemon catch.

One type of pokemon I would like to see in Sun and Moon, mostly because it's a cool concept based on an interesting premise (at least for me), is a set of Ghost/Fighting type(a type pairing I'm pretty sure hasn't been done yet) pokemon that only appear at night, and unlike other pokemon that are usually derping around in the areas you catch them, like the dessert or tall grass, for extending periods of time these ones are actually moving about the region and let you know when they're coming by the sound of their drums, chanting and light of their torches. How does this tie into Hawaiian lore? The Night Marchers, which actually does sound like could be a cool pokemon name as well, but the Night Marchers themselves are said to be the ghosts of ancient warriors that travel around between old battlefields and sacred sites, also it's said that if you make eye contact with them you'll die and be forced to join them.
