I think I would rather spend two weeks in the Everfree, trying to avoid everything that can kill me, and in the Everfree I assume everything can kill me, than one more minute in a hospital room.
That said, their definition of "on the mend" doesn't quite coincide with mine.
I'm very happy to hear you're free of the hospital, Dusty. I hope you're being looked after. I hope you're comfortable and okay. I really, really do.

Still a tough road to hoe, but I've survived this far. The trick, apparently, is giving no thought to why.

The road has led you into a comfortable and healing realm, I do so hope.
I have some very personal beliefs regarding this train of thought. I mean, news hasn't ever done much good beyond warning folks of disasters or large objects heading towards Earth - bad medical news? Um. I sort of tread on the side of "if it's finally broke and I can't fix it", I relent.
I just want you to be okay, of course. I care about you, Dusty.
P.S.: I hope my blogging about gathering well-wishers isn't a bad thing.
Best of luck getting back to your old self, bud. Unless your old self didn't feel very good, in which case, best of luck getting to a better state. State Farm.

I was okay through about mid-May. Things started going downhill after that, and eventually 911 was called. Hospitalized for not quite three weeks, which seemed like not quite three years. I'm back at work, albeit on limited duty.
4217944 Yikes. Hope nothing more goes wrong.

I am assured that the surgery went well, and indeed the general area is healing up nicely. The problem, of course, is that it was spinal surgery, and nerves are the slowest-healing body parts. It may be a year or so before I stop having side effects. (And I'm already Very, Very Old, which doesn't help.)
