So, as a lot of you have noticed, I have an abundance of stories on this site. Problem is, a lot of them are random one-offs that tie into my main story, "The Not-So-Normal Adventures of King Sombra and Pinkie Pie." Now, the reason this is a problem is because... Well, here's all the one-shots...

And that's not including my sequels... The sequels are fine, since they work in order with this series. However... Well, I just feel bad because instead of keeping to one thing, I just kept making a bunch of random things that could easily have been added in. And then I look at my old series and just... Well, it's not up to par with how I write now. At least, not to me, anyway. I used a lot of cliches and overused tropes, to the point where if I even look at a chapter, I cringe inwardly and outwardly.
Now, I'm not ashamed of my work. I just recognize that I could have done better... And that I didn't have to fall into those tropes I wrote about. I also didn't have to sacrifice characterization in order to make a romance work, which I did a lot.
Point I'm trying to make is... I kinda wanna revamp my stories. Like, go back, and edit stuff. Put stories where they actually need to go and keep things a neat line instead of a giant map for everyone to pull together. I'm not going to do it all right now, and I'm not even 100% on doing it. I just feel like I owe it to myself and any other readers who might stumble onto my page to find my stories.
So... Yeah. This has been bothering me for awhile.
I swear I'm OK. I just needed to get this off my chest.

As for the topic of your epic romance saga, I'm not sure how you plan on making it better. I'm imagining a thorough re-read while taking detailed notes of everything you want to change on post-its.

Yeah, I think the series is good, too, I just don't like how I fell into some old tropes AND how I split the story up with all those oneshots. I feel kinda bad because new readers who weren't there for when they first came out have no idea how to read some of the fics and it's my fault for it.
Then again, I'm not sure if I want to a full-on revamp so much as I want to put everything into one place so people do have to SCRAMBLE to find out what order everything is.
4127371 Luckily I got to read the chronological order, but I think it's a great idea. The tropiness was manageable, too. Sometimes we just need a sappy shipfic in our lives. Most people overcomplicate them somehow, or lack the touch needed to make it believable.
At least you have your fanbase, asleep as most may be, to help you out simehow. Me? Nah. Who needs eight hours anyways?

To put into context as to WHY there are so goshdang many stories all over the place... Well, when I first hit 250 followers, I wanted to do a little celebration for it and I did a story vote. Granted, there were already some oneshots out at this point, but these votes I did kept adding onto the pile. As you can see, I don't do those story votes anymore, mostly because they were really stressful and it felt more like work than an actual celebration.
